2003 Astro "greatest robot" arc artwork

I seems like there must have been several different teams of animator artists working on the 2003 Astro anime. The artwork style for the 'greatest robot' story episodes is certainly different that the episodes that preceded it, certainly Uran and Atom are drawn differently. Uran's face is rounder and softer than in the other episodes.

I also noticed that Astro's eyes are drawn as blue when he uses his arm cannon.

You're right! I didn't notice that at first. I think the blue eyes are a stylistic effect to match the color of the energy. Too many colors can ruin a composition, after all. But the different faces are weird. I wonder how many people were involved in the creation of each version of Astro Boy?
