Also, as far as the leveling goes, I think it looked fine. And the turned-in quality on the inner borders of the pages due to your scanning method didn't really detract from reading the manga at all, save for a few words that were pretty easy to decipher thanks to the visual nature of the panels.

Glad it's legible. I couldn't bring myself to tear the book apart...

@ AprilSeven - Yeah. From my scalp to the end it's only about 28", so I was kinda exaggerating, lol. One day I'll lop it off and sent it to L.O.L. (hehe) But until then, it will continue to be in my way...

Man, I should of thought of making it into a .pdf. :d oh: My scanner has an option of scanning images directly into a .pdf, but I didn't think anyone used Adobe Reader, lawls. Maybe next time.

Well, on a Mac, PDFs load right in to preview, which is what I use to load the entire folder of page scans, anyway X3 So it's fine in that regard. Not sure about on PCs, though. All I can really say is that I'm pretty sure the norm for scanlations, etc., is to keep the images in a non-PDF format, and though these are just scans in general, I don't think it's necessary to make a PDF copy of the volume if it's going to require a lot of extraneous effort.

Of course, it's all your choice. I'm just happy for the scans in english XD

I'm actually pretty ticked. Been ticked for the past month. I bought a set of the Astro Boy KT figures based on the 2003 anime back in April and they still haven't come in. IN APRIL. IT'S FRIGGIN' JUNE. Sent the guy 4 emails and he hasn't friggin' responded to any of them, so I opened a case with the eBay helper guys. Hopefully I can get a refund.

But, I did find another lot with them for $4 cheaper. So, if the other ones come in anyway, I'll just give the second set to my sis, lawls.

Anyways, HERE'S THE FINAL VOLUME!!

Okay, if you read this book and it doesn't rip out your heart strings, you are not human. Seriously - chapters 8 - 11 are the best things in the world right now. But, read the others also...hehehe...

When I first read this volume, I was surprised that Himekawa decided to stick a chapter in here based on the episode with the time traveling guy and his pets. :/ I thought the space academy episode would have made a better chapter, but I guess Himekawa felt so deprived from not having any animals to draw, yuk-yuk (seriously, you read their other manga, and they looove drawing animals).

But, after that there are the chapters of the Phoenix episode. :3 I don't care if he is a psychopath, Rock is a hunk. On topic, I've noticed that Himekawa's animal designs seem to be highly influence by Tezuka's style. I'm not just saying that because this is Astro Boy, but really - go read the Ocarina of Time vol. 2 manga and tell me those bird-people in the bonus chapter don't look like they could have been in a Tezuka book. Seriously.

Anyway, I am now rescanning volume 1, but I probably won't post it on this thread. It'll probably just go straight to T.B.H., so if you want the direct scans just wait until this weekend when I put them on there.

On a side note, I have purchased all 20 issues of the Astro Boy NOW! comics and they should come in next week (from New York! ) And yes, I will be scanning them all and posting them online.
