He should be due for another TV series in early-ish 2020, considering he gets a gig every 20 years

I just hope they don't heavily edit it in the English dub. But it would be great to see my childhood hero on TV again when I'm all grown up. I'll be about 25 when if they make a new series that year. LOL!

They might make the best series yet. The animation could look awesome in another 10 years. And i'll be in my late 20's aswell when it comes out

I only pretend to like Twighlight. It's okay, but they should be publicizing Astro Boy a lot more. The first movie did make Astro Boy a bit more famous. But where I live, most people haven't even heard of Astro Boy! There's a few grown ups who watched the 60's anime, and there's the occasional anime freaks at my school, who know he was the first anime, but I'm the only hardcore fan in this small boring town of Alliance Ohio. They don't even sell any Astro Boy stuff (execpt the movie DVD) and they didn't show the movie in theatures. But I think there's hoope for a sequel movie. If they made a sequel of Alvin and the Chipmunks, I don't see why they can't make a second Astro Boy movie. I think the sequel should be based off both episodes Uran the Tomboy and The Greatest Robot in the World.

Here's the thing, by wiki info Alvin and Chipmunks was made on a budget of $60,000,000 its Gross revenue was $361,331,123

Astro Boy had a budget of $65,000,000...and gross revenue thus far is $44,093,014.

For a sequel things usually need to make a profit, since Astro Boy just came out and is still being show in other countries that gross revenue should keep rising, along with dvd sales (I remember checking before to see it as $30,000,000) but it's impossible to ever know the exact amount.

Another thing that concerns is a few days before the movie came out there was word a sequel could be in the works if the movie was a sucess...nothing is said after that. =S

Astro Boy (and the movie) is owned by Tezuka Productions, as Astro is an iconic character it is possible of them doing another sequel reguardless with or without Imagi. Or it's possible there could be a reboot altogether.

As things are with the current financial climate and Edward messing everything up, right now...things aren't looking bright for the boy in undepants

Only thing we can do is help, i brought the movie and thelimited edition one worth about 121 dollars, and i'm gonna get the blue ray version too...once i have a blue ray player @_@

Publicity helps too, so people...START DRAWING AND MAKING AMVS! XD
