I'm writing a new Astro boy fic and its a twist what if the Robots won and Tenma got his way with Astro? What the world look like when robots dominate the earth?
Would the world be better off with robots or humans or both?
Fans what do you think?
What if?...

I think the RIGHT robot(s) could help humans expand their skills and work to curtail their shortcomings. This, however, depends upon whether you think a "perfect" robot is like Astro -- where he only helps/never hurts humans . . . or if you feel like Skunk and Tenma, in that a truly "perfect" AI would be FLAWED.
Personally, I support Ochanomizo's belief -- that Astro is perfect, and is an example of what we should strive to attain in our lives. I believe more highly evolved civilizations would be populated with Astro-like personalities. Not sure if Dr. Tenma agrees, though... (I think he's more "survival of the fittest" in his thinking...)
I didn't answer that did I? hmmm . . . here goes: Astro would never want to dominate the Earth, but he would want to guide others to set a good example. If that's the outcome, then I'd say "robots." Otherwise - nope -- let humans keep working on themselves.

IF robots can avoid becoming corrupted, and a danger to us and each other - they could assist humans in evolving to more peaceful, advanced beings.

But...

If something goes "wrong" -- as Jeffbert is suggesting -- we could end up destroyed by robots.

BITBI Of which manga and can you send a link to that?
To answer that question requires that we 1st establish the robots' attitudes toward humans. I think I saw an anime in which robots determined that humans were the earth's worst enemies, & decided to eradicate them.
Then again, robots keeping only enough humans to perform maintenance tasks, also comes to mind; but I cannot remember where I saw that.
If robots took a big brother/sister attitude, & tried to guide humans into making better choices, such as 2 pieces of fried chicken instead of 4, or juice instead of soda, humans would likely rebel.
But if we assume robots remain submissive to humans, then they would naturally suffer.
