You can't program compassion becuase in the technical sense there is no logic for compassion.

Programs haven't to be logical: I can write very logical programs, but I can also write programs that don't mean anything (and that can even run anyway)

On a pure mathematical point of view, a logical system needn't be logical in the intuitive meaning. That is, you can create a logical system that will "prove" that something is both true and false. You can create it, but you can hardly find an application in the real world for it (although some may be useful when trying to solve the "one lier among a group" problem for example, by constructing all subsets of the invalid system and finding which one(s) work(s), if any).

We might say that all people are "logical" on the mathematical meaning however, even irrational people. Everyone follows rules (satisfy a logical system), but those rules may not be always "intuitively" logical. They are in reality much more complex than the "3 axioms and 1 rule" of the smallest useful logical system. They are so complex that most people if not all don't even know their own "rules" (and on top of that, those "rules" may very with time).

I was writing this book, and it mentioned how emotions help us perform simple tasks. There were people who'd suffered head injuries resulting in them being incapable of feeling, but this effected them making decisions. Infact, it took one man 30 minutes to decided on the date for the next doctor's meeting.

The whole point to it is this, if you have robots with A.I (a lower form of Kokoro) then they'd function only on orders because on their own they'd struggle. Meaning there'd be ranks in your Robot Kingdom, robots with Kokoro being on top and A.I's almost like the ant workers.

Good question! (the original one)

I believe that, as already stated in the '03 series, robots with Kokoro have the ability to think just like humans, which means they can also demonstate and have greed, cruelty, betrayal and others. Not all robots are "friendly" like Astro and Epsilon, since robots can think like us who knows what they'll do? However, robots are less prone in making mistakes, and can think faster etc. This would also mean that they might start to develop different opinions and things, which may lead to war (but since they are more advanced it'll be more catastrophic). Robots could also "overpopulate" the Earth, since they could "live forever" and they could reproduce at an alarming rate, they also demand resources like parts and upgrades which'll run out. Robots could just follow our footsteps and continue to destroy the Earth, but there is also a chance that they would help save it.

Also as stated in the '03 series,many would agree that robots were made to make our lives easier etc. As the Blue Knight stated incorrectly that robots could strive together to create a better tomorrow, it is not possible, since robots with Kokoro like stated above would also obtain these "bad qualities". Plus what if robots suddenly turned on us? With advanced A.I. like them, the Robotonia incident is a perfect example. I don't support Temna's point of view, that 'robots are the future' since humans won't create something with the intention of wiping themselves out. Like Mr. Drake said, what if, by creating these "thinking robots" we have gone too far? And to summarise it up, robots with Kokoro can think just like humans, they could also have the bad qualities (e.g. greed, cruelty) that humans have.
