Okay, so here is Astro -- in real life, and as an adult AND as a Japanese man!!

He's still cute. Check out he dimples and how bashful  he is (but still packin' 100,00 hp and butt guns).

This wasn't Atom's first live-action appearance. His first was the ultra rare and ultra cheesy live-action series that predates even the anime. This almost makes Ed Wood's movies and Battlefield Earth look very good. Having this air again would make Tezuka roll in his grave.

Oh yeah, I've seen that! It is SAAAD!! It's kind of amazing they even attempted to do it as a live action program.

It's interesting that they decided to portray him as an adult though, don't you think?

I think what cracks me up is the hairdo, that is just...you sure it's not Uran pretending to be Astro in that live action show? And how come this is never mention in Astro's history. There's the manga, then the first anime but no cheesy live action XD

LOL!!! Yeah, now can you picture the folks who are part of that live-action version standing around ooooh and ahhhhing over the finished product? Heavens!!! Dr. T must have been trying to FORGET ABOUT IT all these years, but leave it to the World Wide Web to EXPOSE THE TRUTH!!! Astro's cheesy beginnings!!!

And another thing -- the actor for Astro is kinda "doughy" looking -- not fit and lean at all!! Kind of like LardAstro Boy they came out with last year!! Reminds me of the original live-action Superman -- let me tell you: not too super!!

I still prefer him as the original AstroBoy :(

All Nippon Airways (ANA) must either have a really tight budget or can't think of anything better to do

Yeah, it would have been cute if it were, say the Astro from the 2009 movie sitting there with those big ol' eyes and grin.
