The relationship of Tenma and Hoshie

While I don't have volume 7 yet, I imagine Hoshie was depicted having a gentle and a possible 'proper' personality. Yet she was clearly not afraid to voice her own opinions to someone as intimidating as Tenma, as shown when she at first rejected Atom and when she announced her divorce to Tenma.

But all in all, she was a very minor character, so her full personality might essentially have to be fan-invented.

i still stand by what i said, but Tenma was severely depressed, yes, i agree he could have been better but it is not all Tenma fault if you think about it

Alright, I read the eight chapters now.

It was pretty good actually. A lot of thought and emotion was put into it, making it look realistic. I like that, and I look forward to the rest.

Astrological Girl, I thought your fanfic was really creative and insightful. I haven't had a chance to read the latest installment yet, but look forward to doing so. I always felt there was a lot more going on with Tenma then Tezuka chose to develop. In fact when I heard all that horseradish farmer stuff, I groaned, "NOOOO!! You're making like of him -- writing him off as a sort of madman!"

And it's great to envision how he connected to Tobio's mother, the angst, and gut level attraction. Really well done and you get extra bonus points for accomplishing that and being such a young person!! Bravo for you!

I found that the whole horseradish farmer was very clever. I mean, everything about Tenma is supposed to be a pun off of a horse. Granted he does look more like a rooster in appearance, something that Tezuka noticed too, but he was still a horse pun essentially. It really shows how creative a character can be by their past and names alone.

Oh yeah, it was very clever -- in fact I find I enjoy Tezuka's humor enormously now, as an adult. But as a little girl, I wanted to believe all this could be true within my lifetime! So I took it much too seriously.

Okay so we have Dr. Flying Horse with his wife "Star" [Hoshi] and son "to fly" [Tobi] -- yes, you could say they were the original Skywalker family!! XD
