Just now blocked him. He sent me link to ebay and I guess it is what it would look like if he did actually sell my neck on ebay.

Oh no! (astro would say THAT!) BTW -- I missed the same typo IN REVERSE when I worked as a proofreader at a newspaper. The column read "the potluck supper was a real threat" instead of a "real treat" -- gotta love those words with meanings that change so dramatically with one little letter!

But back to the REAL TOPIC -- I think Astro Forever has a really good idea -- send the messages to the mods. That ought to put the brake on things.

No I'm not going to do that. I just thought it was kinda funny that this unintelligent 17 year old kid who's older than me was sending me stupid threats. I've already blocked him and he seems stupid enough and I don't want to want to make his life any worse than it is now. Don't know why I but I think it would be better if he did that to himself instead of me.

Possitive. But if he somehow finds out my personal info, my real name, address things like that. Then I will do that but this guy doesn't seem capable of doing that. (Since he can't even write to save his life or even realize that Naruto comes from Japan.) So I'm not worried about it. Or if he makes other accounts to send me more threats then I will do that otherwise I'll just keep him blocked. Simple as that. I doubt he's even a ganster anyways since he has failed to prove to me except by writing me retarded messages.

In fact, turning him to the mods may be the best thing for his sake. If no one tells him he is acting the wrong way, how can he learn? But if he is 17 years old it may be too late already, assuming he is trully 17 years old.

Hey Astro Forever, I would love to see someone sending me threats to attack my computer, just to see if he/she can even *reach* the first level of security of my server :D And then to see his/her face if I say I am an expert and could really launch serious cyber attacks if I wished ;)
The real sign that someone has become a fanatic is that he completely loses his sense of humor about some important facet of his life. When humor goes, it means he's lost his perspective.

Of course he knows he is acting the wrong way. But he still just wants to do them.

Ok, see it this way then: if no one puts limits to his behavior, he will go farther and farther ;) Sadly, some people need limits to be forced on them.

I've made the correction to the above quote in my original message, but interestingly, I had gotten it right in the following paragraph. :D I thought it was bizarre since I remembered I had checked that word in the dictionary as I wrote my message. I just happened to forget another occurence. But thanks for correcting me anyway, I appreciate it since I only get the chance to practice my English by writing in forums on the Internet and as a result my English is a never ending work in progress. :)

It depends, some people are still really immature at 17.

:D

The teenager never actually attacked my computer, although of course I had no way to tell if he had friends who could indeed. But himself? The first time he came in the chat room, he asked how to write text in color an somebody told him to try ALT+F4. He said "Thanks!" with a :) smiley and you can guess what happened next.

As for the original topic, I play a game online and it's incredible the nasty stuff that sore losers can throw at you. I don't take it personally but after years and years, for some reason it really made the game not enjoyable and it even made me somewhat aggressive too (I didn't express it verbally, but that's how I felt inside). And I don't think I'm especially sentitive in my reactions on the Internet in comparison with many others I witnessed. Anyway, I learned since that we could report those players and I've already gotten two of them banned, plus I keep the chat window closed most of the time.

Even if we don't take them seriously, I think nobody should have to even read things like that to start with. It would be okay to report it.
