Tenma had heard barking earlier from the other room, and initially thought that it was all his imagination or by dogs outside the building. He was greatly startled when a robot dog had ran out of the door and jumped onto his hand, making him yelp in surprise. The unexpected entry and its heaviness combined had made him crash onto the floor, landing on his rear with a loud thud. He grunted in pain and immediately grabbed a hold of the dog as he tried to pull it off of him, but it was holding on tightly.

"G...get this thing off of me...!!" He growled and his teeth grinded together.

He stopped when the girl had came in, at first he was speechless to see the girl in person. But when she began conversing with the lawyer, and Tenma's eyes had widened at what he was hearing. Here there was a three year old girl, but speaking like an older person with a strong vocabulary. Tenma could only guess that she was a well-educated child, but a three-year old talking this well? Really?

He was also just as surprised when he overheard her mention giving the robotic dog on his head a system diagnosis. Most adults cannot even perform such a thing, let alone a mere young child. Granted, she just could have been playing around, but it still bothered him.

Her intellect was utterly astonishing. Not even Tobio could compare, and he was a very smart lad... In fact, this was almost a little frightening...

He wondered, or begged, if this was all just a figment of his imagination, but alas it wasn't.

Tenma just sat there, speechless.

O'Shay smiled, yet he felt uncomfortable when someone brought up his nose. Its one of his more....personal things.

I turned and seeing the raven hair man on the floor I walked towards him and smiled

"I appoligize,Doctor, Bolt, is the youngest and has a the more immature and rash personality then Paige, and she is the more intellectual and mature of the two and she's my right hand man/canine which ever comes first but Bolt is my handyman, feirce fighter, and muscle man" I explained

Seeing him in pain, I told him

"if you prefer this done quickly just use your hands to twist left then right then pull then hand me the head and body will go limp like a leaf he's isn't doesn't contain much body mass and weight, they’re both made of carbon infused plastic and steel skeleton and if i'm correct you still possess opposable appendages or would you rather i do it?

“Where and how did you do this? The lawyer asked

“the steel skeleton was made from frame of the automobiles I found in garbage jump that I melted and constructed with adjustable joints from scooters found in the said garbage dump, modeled using the toys and the fitted the skeleton with joints and finally then covered them by fusing carbon molecules from the carbon tanks used in Alistair’s science project last fall, with the plastic from other toys in the trash ,and programming and wiring were from computers that my neighbors hoard in their house thus the product is what you see, Bolt and Paige” I explained

“Now, you know, Doctor, why we wanted you take her in, she’s extremely intelligent and so are you, stupid raise stupid ,geniuses raise geniuses” The Lawyer explained

Tenma immediately stood up onto his feet, not caring that the robot dog was still on his head.

This was the last and final straw of today.

"How dare you..." Directing towards the lawyer.

"I came from a long line of horseradish farmers, in the Gunma prefecture. And while my parents and ancestors weren't exactly the sharpest knives in the drawer, I was nonetheless one of their children. And what happens? I end up moving to a large city and became the head of the Ministry of Science."

"You suggest that only 'geniuses can raise geniuses'. You're wrong, you're very wrong!" He snapped.

"This girl," He said, pointing down at her. "Probably never got a real chance to know Hoshie, as she would have been a baby then. Her mother didn't have a chance to raise her, and I honestly doubt that Michi would have the right intelligence to teach her these things!" He didn't care if Michi was insulted by this.

"This girl, is acting like a robot!!"

Again, Tenma grabbed a hold of the dog, making certain that he twisted its limbs right until finally the dog managed to let go, which afterward Tenma had dropped to the ground.

Starring at everyone present in the room with his cold eyes and stressed frown, he immediately dug his hands into his coat pocket and turned to leave the room without saying another word. He went out the doorway.

(wow, I don't know what to do or say anymore!! The story is really intriguing -- I thought to make Tenshi bright beyond her years, but didn't know if I could define her character that much - so, unfortunately, I cast her more like a regular intelligent child).

This is the kind of story that is - at this point - basically between Tenma, Black Jack, Michi and Tenshi. I have no idea where Astro went, all I know is I was reading to Tenshi, and this hasn't been acknowledge anyplace, and Dr. Elefun is being interviewed about his nose! :p Oh well, here goes!!)

"You're a coward, Tenma!" called Epsilon after the skulking scientist, "A coward and a fool! What an amazing gift Tenshi is to you - don't be so quick to rush away because of what you've not done well before in your life. This is your chance to be a real father, and know the rewards of raising a special child!"

She eye'd him as he kept his back to her (he seems to do that a lot!). "She's NOT a robot, and you can't "program" her or control her as you must restrain one of us. I think that's what scares you."

Epsilon gave him a few moments of silence, then concluded solemnly with "Time to be more than hyper-intelligent, Dr. Tenma. Time to own your humanity and give your daughter the fathering she needs and deserves."

She looked around at the others; all eyes were on Tenma.

His hustled pace had ceased to a stop as he allowed Epsilon to finish, and as always, he didn't turn around to face her as she spoke.

A small grin had grown on his face. This reminded him of so many things.

"Perhaps..." He said in response, turning his head to the side.

"But has it ever came to you that perhaps this whole thing is a little rushed? First my family perishes, a robotic replacement was conceived, I enter the world of insane destruction and am obviously charged as a criminal for it, and a robot revolution starts to grow, forcing me to take serious measures in preventing such a disaster..."

He didn't care if Tenshi heard him say that.

"...In as little as a few years..."

"Then you expect me to prepare myself, after just hearing this a few minutes ago, which we were presented to in less than a day after Shunsaku Ban's operation, which I too was forced to part-take in."

"You all expect me to throw my past away, but it is simply not possible."

He then looked over his shoulder.

"And of course she's not a 'real robot'."

His shot a glare back. "I just merely insinuated that she is acting like one."

Epsilon listened to his words, but also measured and processed the vibrations his voice and body sent out.

"He's afraid" she thought. She let her preceptors and AI run calculations over what the troubled man was expressing.

Many layers of anxiety -- a sense of reality overrunning his intellect. "He is fighting for time," she thought, "and yet . . ."

Epsilon noticed Tenma's stare had shot past her, to the child, seated behind her. "He's seeing Tobio in her -- the physical similarities. He's sensing Hoshi's spirit within her - and his own. He's beginning to let his inner animal-self override pure logic...."

Their eyes met for a moment. Epsilon sent him a pulse of energy that contained a sense of pure love and admiration. His pupils responded as she hoped. With a shy smile, she lowered her gaze, and walked peacefully past Dr. Tenma, letting one of her slender hands touch his forearm as she went by.

She looked over at Astro and sent him a message "He's relaxing and letting himself be in his humanness. I don't know if he'll stay there, but he could. He needs Tenshi as much as she needs him, but I don't know if he trusts his own animal instincts. He acts like a robot, truth be told!"

Tenma had stopped, almost as soon as he starred right into the eyes of Epilson. He didn't know how or why, but something had felt changed, without warning. His pupils started to scan around confusingly, trying to figure out what had happened. He couldn't even explain to himself what had happened.

He touched his palm to his forehead, pushing his locks of hair into his face as a result. He was obviously still stressed over this, and who wouldn't be? It was then that his eye had caught a glimpse of Tenshi again, and he had froze, starring at her for a brief moment.

He was only knocked back to his senses when Epsilon had walked past him. Tenma immediately straighted himself, although his expression still had a sense of sudden puzzlement.

Upon turning around and standing tall, he had now noticed that he was receiving some very awkward stares as well. He frowned back at them, still holding onto his anger.

Hearing the Doctor, talk about me being a robot was somewhat predicted. I walked towards to the and saw Epsilon talking to him, saying that he was a coward and fool, then the Doctor spoke to her about crimes of sudden maddness and loss for which he was charged for and last he said that i merely acted robotic hes the one to talk. I didn't want him leaving,so i did what i had to do. /like matilda in the movie Matilda/ i glared at him and then his right leg was lifted up and then he tripped then pulled back then face up to me with his hands on each side of his body and legs together as i crawled onto his chest and said.

"If i'm a robot, Doctor, then i couldn't have don't that. but, I am not something you throw away either, and i don't care what you did I want a father, instead of looking at me like something that was forced upon you, look at it from my perspective, i didn't have a say either when i was brought here, i didn't care what kind of man you are, nor did i ask that you be perfect, i want a father not a a grown up baby sitter or nanny, i want a parent that can talk to be like i was a human being with intelligence and bright creative thinking"

"I like robots, and mom liked robots too, i want to built things too, i want you" I began to cry

"and you acting like you don't even care, becuase if you cared so much about tobio why did you built him into a robot? what do i have to do get myself killed and then rebuilt myself as a robot,to gain your affection ? I don't care about what you did, i don't care whether or not mom would have been afraid or mad about what you did becuase it doesn't matter?

All sense of previous confusion had been completely wiped away when the little girl had suddenly darted towards Tenma, making him trip onto the ground as she held his face closer to hers. Tenma's face was literally frozen still with enormous, startled eyes and his teeth clamped together shut, caught completely off guard. Though Tenma was stronger than her as an adult, he didn't move.

He didn't even try to move when he saw tears, or when she had finished shouting at him. Rather, yet another short pause had followed.

"...Let go of me..." Tenma simply said.

He tried to sit back up. "And no, a robot cannot replace a human being. Nothing can. I had to learn that the hard way."

There was another pause.

His arms then suddenly grasped around the child into a hug as he pulled her closer, allowing her head to rest onto his chest. "And I would never want anything like that to happen to anyone..."

He thought of Tobio and began to sob. "Never again... to anyone..."
