My grandmother is possibly dying

She had a fall down the stairs four days ago and went to hospital. She appeared to have come out of it remarkably well for somebody her age. Not a single bone broken.

But today she took a turn for the worse with severe chest pains and couldn't breathe well. The doctor said it could be either to do with her faulty kidneys or an irregular heart rhythm or a blood clot. They're treating her for all three possibilities but they're making no promises.

Oh no!! I'm so sorry to hear that Mighty Astro! Keeping her in my prayers -- hopefully she'll come 'round soon! Sooo tricky when folks get to be older (amazing she didn't break anything).

Thank you everybody. Miraculously she has taken another turn back for the good again.

Mum has been up to see her along with Aunt Beth and she looks great they say. The doctor reckons it was a heart attack and they're giving her a blood transfusion because her haemoglobin count was very low and that can indeed affect the heart.

So it looks like things are going to be fine after all.
