Tenma Hair: The Lost Gene

yeah,but where and or how do you think Tezuka pulled this out of his hat or in his case "Barret"?

I think he was just coming up with a character design that would look interesting and be fun to draw. I doubt Tezuka could base Tenma on a pre-existing character like Kenji, since Kenji was created almost three years after Tetsuwan Atom was first published. Besides, he looked like this then:

This is gonna get really off topic, but I sort of don't care because it's my thread and we're currently a hybrid of two of my favourite things.

I had a screenshot of Kenji (whom most of you now think of as Young Tenma) in a photo with his girlfriend Ginrei. Look on the left...

Also, Dr. Vogler on the right looks like an older Tenma. It's like we're looking in a timewarp...

Kenji (I'm assuming) on the right reminds me of Dr. Doppler from Mega Man X3. That's just great.
