What will happen to the Astro Boy series and Anime?

The new law is apparently also going to affect works that don't have sexual or extremely violent themes. But as always, the bill is very vague, so we'll just have to wait.

Anyway, I don't know why Tezuka chose to draw Astro like this. Maybe because it helps so the robot side of him

I think it's a combination of that, as well that it was easy to draw, makes for a cool & cute design considering Tezuka's cartoonish body proportions, and the Japanese don't go all up in arms at the sight of skin as Americans do.
