I've never seen Caprica. I don't really watch Scifi channel much (except for Ghost Hunters and the occasional Twilight Zone marathon).

Honestly, I think most of the shows we see on television come from a studio wanting money. Therefore, whether or not it's been done already doesn't pick up on their radio as much as the possibility of obtaining wads-o-cash does. Things will get recycled eventually.

Although just hearing that the guy's called 'Papa' makes me think of the Metropolis manga... *sighs* They didn't have to make it obvious that they got inspiration from Tez. But hey, I guess they figured no one would notice lol.

It's more like, nothing is original in the world anymore. Everything has already been done. Even if you were to find something that you think would be the most original thing of all, chances are it has already been done before sometime.

But you're right, no one probably would notice, since not every sci-fi watcher is a fan of Tezuka.

Oh, I used the word in my 1st post, probably out of habit. I made a ton of AUTOCORRECT abbreviations on MS WORD, and 'pp--' becomes 'Papa'; true, it does not save much work, but I use it because I occasionally search my notes, thus the use of standardized term is important. I doubt that THEY used it.
