"Animal Farm" concept in Robot Revolution

Postby Astronomical girl » 14 years ago

I read the book "Animal farm" for first quater this year and it got me thinking about the robotic revolution, the concept is the Russian Revolution and would it lead the same way only with the robots? Or will the end be different?

Human desire drove the Animals to corrupt their revolution. I don't see Robots wanting fancy food and clothing. And robots don't have ambition. Unless they were3 deliberately programed to have AI ambition and desires. If an elite of robots did self program themselves to rise above the other worker bots it could happen. But the creator of the robots would have to deprive the workers of higher computational capacity. He would have to make them less intelligent and incapable of learning. Like what the Nazis wanted to do to Poland and the slavic populations. A programmed class system.

In the 2003 series, the robots wanted freedom from human oppression and abuse and the animals in the book were the same way but isn't the concept of depriving other machines of higher programming, the same as the egoistic dictator? I

Yes....
See Robot Carnival...?
But it would be an imitation of natures way of depriving some people of intelligence and or strength and beauty. But via Eugenics or in the case of robots design....
Uran cannot fly, Astro can. The spray bottle in Astroboy the movie. Mindless droids and hi AI....

hi- in my story ASTROBOY/ASTROGIRL has the ability of having super-intelligence or very low intelligence as part of her infiltration of some renegade robots who are planning on turning on their human creators who are just as corrupt as the renegade robots they created.

That's usually the story. The ancient Spartans had such a system, as did the confederate states. The Japanese had a slave class, as did most European systems. It was forbidden to teach black slaves to read, in order to matain such a system. It is not permitted to school Afghan Girls in some parts of that country. Ignorance makes for good slaves.

It's not permited just tradition and the Afgan women didn't have to,anyways,in the book, the animals were given a set of rules, commandments,do you think a robot with AI would have the same as a human does with rules?

It depends on the level of thought control. Environmental awareness.
