hi- why did
hi- WHY did the TRANSFORMERS movies make so much money but ASTROBOY'S movie did not pay for itself? I like both ASTROBOY and OPTIMUS PRIME- they both care for humans and robots. In the ASTROBOY movie he/ASTROBOY was as sweet as i thought he would be and caring AND I LOVE the movie because of that- i cry watching the movie- hugs

o.o...Imagi didn't climb enough trees because they were busy whispering to poor Jimmy, is that it?

It's that simple...
If Cora had been Megan Fox, and there'd been lots of action sequences every 30 seconds, the film would've been a success XD

This exactly.
Please, Avatargirl, ask a full question in your thread topics. The threads look dreadful and half-finished otherwise.

I think also because Transformers has more of a history in America that AB does. Almost everyone has heard of Transformers, and a good number of those are fans. I could ask around campus if anyone knew who Astro is and all I would get would be a few "uh...Maybe? Maybe if I saw a picture I would know."

it's like comparing Power Rangers to UltraMan it's so much more popular in Japan than Power Rangers but not in America that's just the way it goos.
Talling about Giant Robots wich anime fan doesn't prefer Gundam above transformers ?
And hole Japan does as well but it just isnt that well known in the US.
Let alone Astro Boy wich was at his top in the US in the 60's and 80's the 2003 series dint do any good in the US it crumbled its reputation more than it made it better the way Sony handled it.
