Colin Brady VRS David Bowers

I personally liked the movie but it could have been way, way better. They should have stuck with one director instead of toggling between 3, and used less famous voices. It was very difficult to accept Nicolas Cage as :tenma: . But, to stay on topic the clothes do prevent us from finding decent tushy shots to add here :)

The final product had only one director. If something had been started with the others, it was scrapped.[/QUOTE]

Ok, smarty pants :p do you know what Colin Brady did to get canned? For some reason I thought there was 3 directors involved but I guess there was only 2. How do you know they scrapped the original script? Weren't they half way through production? Those actors must've been like  . I have exhausted all search engines and can't find anything on this! I've wondered why they replaced the original director since I first heard of it. Anyone have any insite?

I just know cause there's only one director in the credits. :p As for the script, it was co-written by David Bowers and that Space Jam guy, who might have been there from before the director change (i don't know). We've seen some footage from before David Bowers came in, and that didn't turn out into in the final film.

Thanks for answering! Still wonder what one must do to get canned from a production of a movie. That would be insulting! :d oh:
So there "kinda" was three people involved. Colin Brady, David Bowers and Timothy Harris.

Here's something I just found out. David Bowers directed the Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2 movie, and apparently Flushed Away.

:tenma: - Well this post is compleatly useless. I'm selling it to the circus!

Me: I don't care. Do what you want with it.

I know. All 3 of those are on my list of favorite movies.

I did have high hopes for the movie based on the fact that it was by the director of Flushed Away. Also, he started his animation career as an in-betweener for American Tail II: Fievel Goes West, one of my favorite movies. :D

Let's not give him too much credit. He was just one character designer among a dozen for that film, nothing more, and directed some awful baseball animated movie. He had moved on to direct the Smurfs, but now he's also moved on from that to something else.

granted. I understand Genndy Tartakovsky was originally going to direct it at one point as well. Aww man, how cool would THAT have been?

I had heard about that. I can't remember if these were the articles I read, but it pretty much gives the same information:
