What episode out of all the Astro Series, if any, impacted you most?

Postby SpaceCookie » 14 years ago

I was watching the 1980's series last night, and the episode 'Atlas Forever' played. Now, I've watched this series all the way through twice, but the message, or what I thought was the message, didn't really hit me till I sat down and payed attention. I'd just had a giant fight with my younger sister and had my mom not come in it would've come to fists. >< Atlas flying off and dying made me think about how horribly I would feel if my baby sister..no matter how irritating..were to leave me! I went in and apologized to her afterward and we hugged and it was all good. Astro taught me a lesson guys! Not that I never expected to learn one of course. Just not one so profound. T.T Anything like this ever happen to any of you?

Well... there was this one time where I went to pull the 80's version off the DVD rack and the first box set of the 60's series fell and landed on me noggin. So I will have to say that the entire first 50 episodes of that series impacted me pretty hard.

Oh god,

I hate it when people ask me questions like this. I cannot name one particular episode that moved me, I just can't.

Okay I take that back, maybe I can name one. This probably isn't the best one to name but I thought it was interesting.

Lily on Peligro Island was one of my favorites. It did have a sad ending, but the episode showed more of Astro's true colors and how human he actually is. He had somewhat of a liking to Lily and he went through crap at home with his robot parents and at school just to save Lily and her father.

The ending was sad, but made sense. It was one of my favorite episodes from the 80's series. There are way too many episodes for me to list that I like.

I can't really name a single episode, but that Astro seems to be able to forgive those who have really hurt him or been rude to him is one thing that gets to me.

Yeah. O.O Astro's a cartoon version of Melanie Hamilton. I make that reference a lot but no one ever gets it.

I cannot say offhand, but B&W The Little Elephant Pura brought tears to my eyes when he was crying "mama, mama!" & trying to get her to move. I really do not even like elephants, but that was really moving.

I agree with AstroForever. Astro's ability to 'keep going' both astonished and inspired me. I, personally, as Astro (you, hush) would have spazed out and probably destroyed the world.
