I've seen two threads like this recently and I just wanted to put two cents into people complaining about people hating on Astro Boy.

The basic fact is that not everyone is the same, not everyone thinks the same way, likes the same stuff, listens to the same music or whatever. Not everyone is into the same stuff that you are into. Not everyone likes the same anime.

Yes Astro Boy is an old anime that has practically shaped anime into what it is now, but that doesn't mean that every single fan of anime likes it. Not everyone likes everything, regardless of what it is. It doesn't matter how popular it is, it doesn't matter how many people say it's good or that it sucks. With TV shows, Movies, games, music or whatever; there will always be people will not like that certain thing. The numbers may differ each time, more people may like that particular thing, or more people may say it's garbage.

But to be straight to the point, you can't please everyone. If you know someone who doesn't like Astro Boy, does it really matter? As long as their not being extreme about it who cares? Why does it matter if someone else dislikes something that you like? If they really don't like then don't shove it down their throats then they may grow to dislike you.

But that's enough out of me.
