Good news I got the first half done


After school my siblings and I rode the bus home, Stefany and Alajo rode the same bus. The whole ride I could tell that Astro was sad not to be sitting with his old friend. The bus came to a stop about a block away from our house. We stepped out and where greeted by a trash can design, yellow robot.
“Hi, Nora!” Astro and Zoran said to her.
“Hello children.” Nora said then she came over to me “I’m glad to meet you, little Zinc.”
“Nice to meet you too.” I said as I violently shook her hand.
“Hey Astro, I bet I can race you home!” Zoran said.
“You’re on!” Astro called.
They took off towards home running, like the wind. I tried to chase them, but I was too slow. “Guys… wait up.” I said while panting. I dropped to my knees, then I heard something. A little whimper coming from the bush.
“Umm… Hello?” I said.
Suddenly, a white fluffy head of a kitten popped out of the bush. She crawled right into my lap and stared at me with her big blue eyes. She began to purr very loudly and in her purrs she kept saying “Mama, mama, mama” over and over.
“You have so much courage and soul for being just a little kitten that was abandoned by her mama…. That’s what I’ll call you, Soul.” I said.
I heard Nora roll up behind me. “Why are you… you found a kitten?”
“Yeah her name is Soul, she was abandoned by her mama and owners.” I said “But it’s okay ‘cause I’m her mama now.”
“Not another pet, I told O’Shay to stop making robots that could sense feelings. First, Houdini then Spot, now Soul.” Nora complained.
“Sense feelings?” I said confused.
“Yeah that’s how you can tell what animals are saying… well come along now and bring Soul.” Nora said.
We walked home and the entire way there I held Soul close. When we got home Astro had changed from his school suit to a nice outfit. Zoran instantly noticed Soul and came over to pet her.
“You found a kitten, how cute. What is her name?” Zoran cooed.
“She is Soul, she was abandoned by everyone and I’m her mama now.” I said proud.
“What’s with you two and finding animals?” Astro said snottily.
“You had Spot!” Zoran said and Astro instantly became sad.
“Who is Spot and where are you going, Astro?”
“Spot was a puppy that I found on the streets two years ago. Last, year he died from a disease he caught from the streets.” Astro said “I’m going to see Dr. Tenma." He saw that I wasconfused. "You see,... I wasn’t created by O’Shay like you and Zoran. I was created by Tenma, right now he is in jail for blowing up the ministry and trying to rule the world.” Astro said ashamed. “but I forgave him because he is my father.”
I really didn’t know what to say, I felt overloaded. Astro was about to take off. “Wait Astro, I wanna go too.” Astro was surprised by my optimism
“Umm… Okay, I’ll be waiting outside hurry up.” Astro said.
The moment the door was closed I opened up my stomach compartment and though out my food bag. Then I took Soul and gentle placed her inside. She would be safe in there, because it wouldn’t get squished like a backpack and all of my in taken air went there. I then rushed out to Astro.
“Hold on!” Astro said.
I grabbed tight around Astro’s waist and before I knew it the ground had disappeared from under our feet and we were soaring through the sky. I dug my face in Astro’s shirt and squeezed him really tight. Soul was scared too, I felt her heart beat against my stomach as it rose in her fear. It was like I really was her mama. Before I could overcome my fear we had landed in front of a big brick building that had a barb wire covered wall all the way around it. Two guards came out and searched us and then they attached little thingies to our hearts so that we couldn’t activate any weapons. They obviously didn’t do a very good job of searching us though, because they didn’t find Zinc. We walked down the long rows of cells and I huddled close to Astro. I started to feel Souls paws patting along my stomach lining and instantly started giggling as she tickled me.
“What’s wrong with you, Zinc?” Astro said in a stern whisper.
“I’ve got Soul inside me.”
“I’m glad you have a soul, but this isn’t the time to be laughing over it.” Astro said and so I held in my giggles.
When we finally came to the end of the hall there was a metal door with a guard sitting next to it.
“Are you here to see Tenma, Astro?” The guard said in a friendly matter
“Yes sir.” Astro said.
“Well go in.” The guard said as he opened the door.
