BTW the cat was "killed", and it's on Youtube. People who watched it noted tha looks obviously fake, and even more knowing that now "they" have a Facebook and a Twitter account. Apparently, this is the promo for either a horror movie or a new chain of fashion shops.

Edit: The video has been deleted from Youtube. Now it's their turn: Repent now or be judged for murder like the crew from Cannibal Holocaust, an Italian movie where various animals were killed, and whose marketing campaign said that the actors were slayed as well, and was the goriest film of all time. The actors had to testify they were alive, but the director (Ruggero Deodato) was condemned to pay a large fine for animal cruelty. Now he recognizes he made a big mistake filming this: even most of gore fans condemn this movie saying that they love and endorse fake violence and slughter, but not snuff (real violence and slaughter).

And all for nothing: about 10 years later, Peter Jackson (yes, THAT Peter Jackson) made the GORIEST film of all time: an action, cartoon-like comedy called Braindead. A very funny film where nobody got hurt in any way.

Try for yourself: go to the site and press on "Quero ver mais" (I want to see more). HD footage of an ACTRESS tied to a chair. It's a COMMERCIAL.

Those pigs could have killed an animal for marketing purposes (at the moment we have no proof if the killing of the feline was real or fake). This can be either worse then we expected or just relieving: it depends on the real fate of the animal.

This aggresive (to say the least) commercial strategy consists on attracting potential customers by clicking on the site and then SPAM, SPAM, SPAM, SPAMMITY SPAM us.

Yeah me too....

We don't even have any proof that the votes to kill the cat were real to begin with. They could just pretend it was that way to get more attention. If somebody wants to save whatever is on the site, the most effective way would be to call the local authorities (perform a whois on the domain to know which country it is from), not click on anything there.

How about ignoring those people from now on?

If anything, this thread can at least make us realize how low some people can sink to get attention, and that we shouldn't believe everything we are seeing on the Internet.
