My sister was talking to me about this "show" when she was little called Candle Cove. She told me it only ran a few months and was nightmare fueling. The show was "live action" (they used puppets which is even more disturbing) and featured a little girl who imagined herself to be friends with pirates. I'm 13, so I wasn't old enough to see the show or anything since it was said to run in 71. Even scarier that my sister is only 17. But she say's she still remembered it. There is a video on YouTube called Final episode of candle cove but my sister say's it wasn't what she remembered seeing. She remembers the villain "The skin taker" which was a skeleton with a bowling hat who's jaw just slid back and forth and not up and down when he talked. My sister remembers the girl asking him why his jaw moves like that and he said To grind your skin.
hmy: Some one else remembered that scene to on the Creepy pasta wiki. He/She said he'd remembered the girl saying why does your mouth move like that and the skin-taker didnt look at the girl but at the camera and said TO GRIND YOUR SKIN." Alot of people say it was just a made-up story by the site Creepy pasta. Then why do so many people remember it? 
One thing someone said on the wiki was something that scared me even further,
"i visited my mom today at the nursing home. i asked her about when i was little in the early 70s, when i was 8 or 9 and if she remebered a kids show, candle cove. she said she was suprised i could remember that and i asked why, and she said because i used to think it was so strange that you said im gona go watch candle cove now mom and then you would tune the tv to static and just watch dead air for 30 minutes. you had a big imagination with your little pirate show.

"Loved this show. Horace Horrible was my favorite. I remember looking everywhere for his action figure but Kiddie City and KB had never even heard of the line. I finally found a talking Horace, good as new, at somebodys yard sale, though I didnt see a house around and never saw those people again. I was pretty excited, and ran right to my friends house to gloat.
When his mom answered the door, she let out the most guttural scream Id ever heard, absolutely scaring the -- out of me. She told me to get lost with that thing and slammed the door in my face. My kid-logic concluded that she must have known I bought a toy from a stranger completely unsupervised, and that it must have been an even more serious crime than I thought.
So, I did my best to keep Horace hidden, especially from my own parents, but his voice chip was pretty damn loud, and every so often hed go off by himself, like his battery was dying. My mom kept asking if Marble (our cat) was in my room I dont know how you mistake that goofy chuckling for a cat.
It was subtle at first, but after a few days he started to smell weird. His voice kept getting weaker and more garbled, and his joints kept getting looser like they were ready to drop off. I was afraid of getting caught and we didnt have trash pickup, so I did what a rational child does when he thinks he has contraband and buried it in the woods.
I never found another one or figured out what was wrong with him, but its the weirdest thing; a tree grew where I left him, I -- you not, in just a couple weeks. It never grew leaves and it never got much taller than me, but its there to this day, and every summer it swarms with disturbing numbers of flies."
Does anyone remember this show or is it just my sister?
