Hum, you may very well be correct that it is just as if it were GMT -4. It's sooooo confusing! I'm not sure if all/most of North America uses Daylight Saving Time either. I've always heard there was a three hours difference between Eastern Time Zone and Pacific Time Zone, so it would make sense that it would be at noon at -7 GMT.

Well 2 pm would do for me since that's 8 pm in my time but much later would could a problem and i voted for 31th hope it can that day.

Actually, it would be at noon in GMT -6 (Mountain Time Zone) since Eastern Time Zone is currently in GMT -4. It is kind of confusing...

Also, Daylight Savings is observed everywhere except Saskatchewan, Sonora, Central America, and parts of British Colombia, Ontario, Nunavut, and Quebec. Most of North America does observe Daylight Savings as shown by this map:

Okay, I have an idea... How about 2 PM in New York City? It should make it easier for everybody to find out what time it is going to be in their time zone.

www.timeticker.com is handy too to know the hour at a given location. Just make sure to mute the ticking noise, it can get on the nerves after some time

Edit: I've just voted for every date, since I don't have anything I absolutely have to do at those particular dates so far... Of course that doesn't mean it can't change, but then everybody is in the same situation, I suppose.

For those who unfortunately won't be able to make it on August 7 not all hope is lost: you can suggest a second date at a later time, and I'm sure many of the members here would want to attend that second meeting as well.

Nobody has provided any other suggestion here, so yes, Skype will be used.

If you mean you have a smartphone, you may be able to dowload Skype if there happens to have a version for your particular phone. Otherwise, it's possible to call any phone number through Skype, but there are fees to do so, so no, we weren't going to do that.

What info do I have to share?

As little as possible, please. You will need to share your Skype nickname. There are some information on the public profile that Skype shares, but you don't need to fill them all. I think it can be only basically your name (so don't enter your real one), country and language. All those involved in the meeting will be able to see those.

Ghost will be our host, and he could probably check everybody's profile before letting them in so inexperienced users won't share any personal information without realizing it. You'll have to share your Skype ID with Ghost before the meeting through a private message.

Perhaps I shall do that if this meeting doesn't work out for me.

If I do try to make this meeting, there is a possibility of me being late for the Skype meeting. I'm sure you guys wouldn't appreciate that too well, so I might just do the chat thread for this. I'll try to make it to the Skype meeting though! Promise!
