Yeah, Odd's humorous personality is definitely his greatest attribute. He's kind of like the Krillin of Code Lyoko. Both are comic relief and always there for the more important main heroes.

I seem to remember the gym teacher being kind of a funny character too even though he was always snooping on the main protagonists. I believe he actually helps out the main protagonists in one episode, which was kind of cool.

I guess I should also mention that I never got to watch the fourth season at all. It looked pretty interesting though with William becoming a villain and all.

The cousin (I forget her name) simply couldn't stand her and I thought she was simply annoying. And same thing with Ben, I had kinda the same problem with the 03 English dub of Astro Boy but this was a worse case.

His dialogue seemed kinda lame to me, and his voice didn't really help I recall. And personality wise, I didn't really like him. Something about his attitude really turned me away and he seemed too arrogant, and (Only word I can think of, but it's a word I can't use here.) he seemed a bit of a "D-Bag." So I never bothered with the rest of the series, nor did I look into this new series where they're teenagers.

Plot wise, it didn't speak to me. It didn't have a good vibe to it, and it didn't seem to have a lot going for it. Maybe it's because it's aliens I don't know.

To each his own opinion.

Grandpa Max definitely is my favorite character in that show. The funniest situations in that show often involved him.

I was never really bothered by Ben or Gwen that much. Well, actually, Ben did get on my nerves sometimes, but to me, Ben's just how a ten-year-old boy would act. I always just dismissed his attitude because it actually seemed believable to me.

That's just me though.

"Bigdog" wrote:
Also, I agree that the original Ben 10 was good. The newer seasons...not so much.

The newer Ben 10 seasons are like terrible fanfiction. They completely rewrite the entire premise of the show, got rid of Gwen's powers and made Kevin NICE. Before Ultimate Alien ,it was just stupid but once they returned her powers and made Kevin evil, it was better. But I won't waste my time watching it .
I watched a little of Alien Force, but after a while, I just found the show to be bland. I think the melodramatic turn the series took was a bad decision; this coming from a guy who actually likes melodramatic series. I mean, it was almost always nighttime in that show. :shifty:

Also, the Gwen x Kevin pairing turned me away from the future series. The show focuses too much on them sometimes in my opinion.

Speaking of American cartoons, what do you guys think of Teen Titans? That show is probably one of my favorite American cartoons from the '00s.

Teen Titans was okay. I remember liking it, although there a few episodes that turned me away.

I did like Slade, both character and I digged his voice. He was voiced by Ron Perlman, who is also the narrator in the openings to the Fallout video games. In those his tagline is "War never changes." He has a very good voice, very dark tone to it which I like. He's a very good narrator. I also know him as Clay from the TV show Sons of Anarchy, which is my favorite show on FX currently. But enough about him.

My favorite Titan would probably be Raven. Probably because of her dark powers and personality. The show wasn't my favorite, but I thought it was one of the last good shows on CN.

My favorite American long running shows would have to be Batman The Animated Series, and the Justice League. Kevin Conroy is Batman, nuff said.

Yeah it is French, but nonetheless it is good in my opinion.

Ben 10 , when watched from the first episode on, plays out very much like the Japanese Henshin hero concept and it was no surprise the creators were fans of those series.Without getting in too much of a depth into the series, it really shows a boy's coming of age as he grows up in the face of great dangers while dealing with the daily things a ten year old American boy contends with. In essence ,he goes from a self centered kid who only wanted the Omnitrix to fight evil for fun to a more mature Ben who thinks of others and looks out for them.

If any of you like Doctor Who, Ultra Q , Ultraman , Star Trek and Teen Titans, you will love its sequels. While they are not as well done in comparison to the previous incarnation, the animated film and the sequels are very classic sci-fi orientated with a tinge of fantasy.

I hated Astro's voice for the 2003 version, but Ben 10? He was miles better.

LOL! Gumball. It's okay I guess. I don't watch Cartoon Network that much. The only shows I really like on there are MAD, Adventure Time, and Regular Show (that show kicks butt I tell ya). Yeah Gumball is okay, but have you seen the Problem Solverz? They're horible! I swear the creator was on acid when he thought them up. The animation is sooo disustingly bright. How does anyone watch that? It's like barfing rainbows into my eyes. I first saw it with Sis and I was like "What the (bleep) kinda show is this?!?!?!?" D:
You're not a joke, you fit right in!
So shake it off, and give a grin. Don't be afraid to stand your ground! Crazy, noisy BIZARRE Town!

Are these rainbows double?

The moment I heard of and saw the trailer , I made it my prerogative to avoid it at all costs as that brown turd of **** looks like a man's parts while the red sweater guy looks like a Spiderman reject.

Ok, on Monday I just saw this awful abomination on Cartoon Network known as Secret Mountain Fort Awesome. What the (bleep) kinda show is that? It's terrible! The animation is nasty, the monsters known as Disgustoids are well, disgusting, and it is just stupid. I don't mean like funny stupid like Regular Show, or Beavis and ButtHead, but I mean really extreamly, incredibly STUPID! And I thought the Problem Solverz was bad. I think Cartoon Network is slowly becoming [adult swim].

It is Adult Swim Jr. Not surprising, considering that Problem Solverz was geared towards it. Cartoon Network never had anything interesting and original about it much like Disney. They both license other material and take from it, but for how short the history Cartoon Network has been in existence, it is PATHETIC they cannot come up with anything remotely good and keep with it. Strip the DCAU and the anime and they only had Genndy Tarkakovsky and McCracken whom they both pushed away.

Sure there are a few good shows on now like Ben 10, but they have barely anything to offer that is quality for their target audience. Nickelodeon is where it's at now or AS, the latter being the few anime series they acquire. They drove their audience and will never get them back. And Disney? They at least have Pixar.

I do like Young Justice as it is done by the same crew of Teen Titans, another of my fave series. Anyone like HiHi Puffy Ami Yumi?
