It is weird but than again Astro Boy was never mend to be a straight adaptation of Captain Atom the 1953 version of Captain Atom was the version in Astro Boy right ?

I am coming to this a little late, but I have to say you raise an interesting point. I put up this thread because I wanted to see the reaction of seeing the original version of Atom's creator. I don't know if he had a name in the original version of "Ambassador Atom", but I thought it interesting the way Dr. Tezuka originally envisioned him. Yes when he had the chance to rewrite and redraw his "Atom(u) Taishi", he changed Dr. Tenma's appearance to how it is viewed today, but I still find the original interesting and all of your comments were amusing to say the least!
