It's hard to change to these new rules though. We are trying, It's hard. We also have our OC's which we can't help but to play with. I did the the post 'Hello anybody there?', maybe I just didn't understand what you ment. I thought you could say that because I'm not repeatedly saying 'Hello, hello hello, hello' and the 'BRB' isn't something we can give up straght away, because we need to tell each other that we are going to, let's say eat food we need to say that we are going for a bit. Well we can't help but to say 'Brb asap'. I made myself visible, like you suggested. And getting straight to the point? How are we ment to do that, we RP here with our OC's, and it's hard to get to the point when RP. We might as well not if we need to cut to the chase. I do understand it's hard to come and join without knowing what's going on,it is really hard.

I don't see anything wrong with roleplaying. But a question: why not try adding extra description? Put in more description of what you imagine?

Instead of a character saying "you are an interesting person," you could write it like this: "You are an interesting person *Eve said and smiled, as she observed her new friend's quirky but fun personality. She then held out her palm for a hand shake.*" It is still simple, but adds a little more by showing the characters thoughts. A character is always doing something, so you could say a character is playing with their jewellery as they speak or think, or say how they are interacting with their surroundings, no matter how subtle (for example, feeling grass under their feet).

Being more descriptive also makes it easier to let others know what is going on if they just joined in, and makes it easier to realise it's a RP with all the other immediate info they may need to know to participate as well.

But this is just my suggestion and opinion, so I could be wrong. I am not used to script based RP, because I prefer prose RP which is usually more wordy. You don't have to listen to me, I just wanted to attempt to be helpful in some way...

I still don't understand forums completely, this is the first one I have participated in. I hope I have not made a mistake.

Yes, I agree with you AstroBoy03, I can see how hard it must be. I understand.

Perhaps you could add a little signal, such as put *RP* right before a post indicating that this is part of the role play, so you don't have to discuss whether you're getting into it? (I haven't followed closely all your discussions, so I don't know if that makes sense to you.) A RP doesn't have to be played in real time, on a forum it is expected that people will post, leave and comeback when they have time. It shouldn't be necessary to post "BRB" if one is to come back in 10 to 15 minutes.

I'll try to explain with numbers: if we have to scroll through 250 posts to find a conversation we can get into, it's hard. But if we had to scroll only through 50, for example, it would become much easier. It seems to me that it should be possible to write more content in each post instead of spreading things into so many more posts. We don't add only one sentence per post in our Tenma/Ochanomizu RP. Now I'm not asking you to wait until you have that much to say before posting, but I think it must be possible to find a middle ground. Satus' suggestions seem good to me.

Please understand that we aren't trying to make you leave or anything. But I remember in the beginning of these topics, I've had a funny conversation about public transportation with Novacain and another over sports with Ataru Moroboshi which allowed me to know him a little more. That has not been possible in a long time. Even discussing with the regular participants, here, has become more difficult.

And don't hesitate with questions or suggestions about these, it may lead to new ideas.

Hmmm guys, I knew this would require a bit of adjustment, but I think you can do better. Please read my first post again.

I've read again a few more "hello, anybody here?", or "BRB" (which you wouldn't need to post if you made yourself visible; we can see if you are active or not from the link in the first page). I see from about post #150 or so a lot of posts with only a smiley or a small drawing... I asked you to go straight to the point and post at least a sentence. This thread from that point up until now is not very welcoming. We have to scroll through dozens of pages. Those who joined the topic won't come back to discuss with you if they have to scroll through 15 or 20 pages in between each conversation. We can't really add anything to *runs around in circles* or *sitting on clouds* and things like that... It looks like you are bored sometimes, but wouldn't you have much more to discuss with more people around?

Months ago we seemed to have a tendency to have many off topic posts here and there, and it seemed there was a need for a place where people would be able to get to know each others, but I think by now we could make this more interesting. Perhaps MSN or Yahoo Messenger would work better for some parts of these conversations?

Eh... i have to agree with you Astro Forever. i would love to chat with the members of the fourm but it is hard with the scrolling of the pages and what not. if you can't make a chat box then i have a suggestion. Talk to the forum admin about makeing a seperate forum branch (is that what they are called?) like the Fan creations or games and roleplay etc but for chatting only. there mods can create similar threads like this but can add things like polls for example. Only mods can create the threads in this "chat forum" so it will be more organized. This is not to be confused with the general disscussion forum so think of it as a forum for "chatting and discussing" random topics created by the mods

Hehehe AstroMars137, it's definitely a good idea, in fact it's not the first time I've heard of something like that. Then there could be a thread of a random RP an another one for a random but not "imaginary world" discussion. However even then I think it would be better if the posts weren't spreaded out so much.

Let me say once again that I do expect an adjustment period, and I don't want anyone to take this personally either - it's just about trying to find a way to improve our communication overall, all together!

@Astro Forever; ;o; Oh now I think I get what you mean . I have the attention span of a small squirrel so it was a little difficult to read through all these post, but I did it! . I had a thought about just making another thread called "RPing thread" or something so we can talk here and RP there, but it looks like someone already suggested something like that. Okay so *RP* before I bring in my OC's and skip straight to the point. So by "skip to the point" do you mean that in one post I try to get down all that I'm saying instead of saying "guess what" or something like that? I can do that. Did I miss anything?
