Well, I simply translated the song, then changed a few words around to fit the melody's timing, which is not a good idea for singing it. Lyrics are an art form in my opinion, so more care should be taken when making "singable" translations.

Here are the lyrics I wrote:

It is mostly accurate to the Japanese, but sounds funny in English singing. I guess I am super picky?

This is pretty close to being in sync, but there are a few bits that are hard to sing. I want to make it sound nicer.

But I want to do regular translation of a long version of the song at some point too, I've only ever seen translations of the "TV size" version. A translation of the long version might be hiding somewhere obscure though.

Yeah, the 'Dear Uran' would be a hard part wouldn't it?

Yeah, "dear Uran" would be replacing "Uran chan". Uran-chan is about 5 syllables, dear Uran can only just barely fit 3 or 4 depending how you pronounce it.

Another song that is sang by Rin, called Kokoro, kinda reminds me of Astro Boy. It's a popular song

That song was sad, especially the ending. ;o; But it was sweet at the same time. D':

The girl's name is Rin Kagamine, she is my favourite of all the Vocaloids. The boy is her mirror image, Len Kagamine. But some people consider them twin siblings instead. Their voices are provided by voice actor Asami Shimoda.

Some other good songs sang by the Kagamines are Gekokujou, Aku no meshitsukai and Skeleton Life.

And yes, Kokoro is a sad song. People have made various music videos for the song. It is popular to portray Len as the lonely scientist in the music videos too.
