Hello!
Oh I know the feeling.
English isn't my first language so...! For how long have you been studying?
Your first language is French, isn't it? Your English is very good.
I picked up a few words little by little for many years, I only started actually studying a year ago. But I am a slow learner (with very poor memory too), so I still do not know as much as I'd like.
I still heavily rely on the use of my dictionaries when I read, especially for kanji since I only know some of the grade 1 jouyou kanji. But I started a blog to write in Japanese, since I discovered typing Japanese is how I learn to read it best. I also read the artists' comments on Pixiv to practice. I read as much Japanese as I can online, since I am too nervous to communicate, it's the only way I can keep remembering what I learned. But reading is the main reason I wanted to learn Japanese.
As for pronouncing it, I just sing Japanese songs cos I am too embarrassed to simply speak it. I've been singing Astro Boy songs lately, hehe.
Well yes, why not?
I wouldn't be surprised if the proportions sometimes helped even more than a more realistic human form!
Oh yes, they can be more helpful than a more realistic human form sometimes.

Thanks! It could be better, but after all the posts I've written here, I improved...

I was wondering how you knew, and then I realized I just posted about the French version less than an hour ago....

You're still young, you have a lot of time to improve!

I'm attempting to learn German right now myself, then one day I'd like to learn Italian (too bad that by then Jetter Marte will probably already have those fansubs...). Didn't you say you knew German yourself, GLAB? Or was it somebody else?

From experience, even writing in Japanese should help a lot with speaking, because you also have to come up with the words.

Thanks. I am indeed motivated, need to work on my self esteem though.

I tried to learn German in middle school, it was fun. Unfortunately I don't remember any of it. I hope you successfully learn those languages, knowing more than 2 languages sounds difficult.
I too would like to see Jetter Mars some day. My best chance is probably digital online rentals... Assuming there even are any.

Aww, Spanish is an interesting language anyway though.

This is true (for me at least). I learned how to read Japanese numbers by writing the kanji.
