RP:The Ochanimizu Files; Tenma's Therapy Sessions

T; Why wouldn't it? You took him in after all...

O; Would you have preferred I didn't?

T; I wouldn't have minded so much...if you didn't do as you pleased with him.

O; Wha...Now you're just not making any sense.

T; Am I ? Or are you just denying the painfully onbvious ?

[Astro Forever]

O'Shay: The painfully obvious? Astro has brought so many good things to this world! Look at how he brought robots and humans together!

Tenma: Oh, the illusion... how long do you think this will last?

[Prettywitchiusaka]

T; Surely, you don't think that all humans will openly accept all robots as equals now. Do you?

O; Of course not. But if we're going to keep it this way, then those who reject robots will have to learn to accept it. They just need a little bit of time to get used to it, that's all.

T; That still won't bring an end to the conflict O'Shay.

O; Everything has an end Tenma.

T; No...Nothing ends...nothing ever ends...

O'Shay can only stare at his collegue in budding stubbornness, that is before he finally calmed himself down with a sigh

[Astro Forever]

O'Shay: So, back to Astro... I could bring him here as part of the therapy, so of course I would need to be there. Your visits are controlled, so I'm not sure you would even be allowed to see him alone.

Tenma: I guess I must not count on you to make such a recommendation, of course...

O'Shay ignored him and kept going: "We're nearing the end anyway. Do you have any questions?"

Tenma: No.

O'Shay: Alright, so next time I'll bring Astro. Have a nice week.

Tenma didn't reply, and left.

A week later, O'Shay welcomed Tenma in his office, and Tenma once again sat down in the comfy chair.

Tenma: Where's Astro?

O'Shay: Let me call him.

[Prettywitchiusaka]

O'Shay walked towards the door and opened it

O; Astro, you can come in.

Shortly after, Astro walked into the room. As he saw him walk in, a warm smile lit up on Tenma's face.

A small one was apparent on Astro's face as well, but he was stopped by a small hand

Zoran: Are you sure you don't want me to come in there with you Astro?

Astro: Don't worry Zoran, he won't hurt me. Now you stay outside and wait, okay?

Z; Okay...

Zoran does as she promises and closed the door. But, it doesn't stop her from putting her ear up against the door

Inside, Astro sits on a small chair across from Tenma, continuing to smile at him

A; Hi Dr. Tenma...It's been awhile since I've seen you.

T; It has, hasn't it? How have you been?

Ochanomizu took a few deep breaths, centered himself and spoke with a calmness that almost rattled Tenma.

O: No matter what you say, it's clear the universe has seen to it that Astro has at least two "father figures" in his life. Three if you consider Higeoyaji.

Tenma sat up, in shock, but didn't say anything.

O: Tobio may have been a precocious little boy, but Astro's personality is emerging clearly out of what ever you were trying to recreate of Tobio's life. Astro has spent years dealing with adult issues of right and wrong. He's stared death straight in the eyes many times and came out victorious.

T: Thanks to the challenges I set before him. I knew what I was doing --

O: Only so much! Astro is not bitter or hateful towards humans. He also is capable of being a hero without amassing an ego that would make him unlovable and potentially dangerous. Somehow, in spite of -- or maybe because of -- all he has been through in his brief life he's got an incredibly pure heart.

T: That's because he's a robot and is programmed to remain like that.

Tenma's gazed locked with Ochanomizu's.

T: THAT is why robots are superior to humans. They are free of the burden of pride, greed, and thoughtless aggression.

He looked at Ochanomizu for his response.

O; Really? Then what about Atlas? How do explain his impulsiveness?

T; That was merely a result of the life he had led previously.

O; Even so, you can't just-

A; Um, excuse me...

Both men turn to face a slightly uncomfortable looking Astro

A; Do you think that maybe we could disucss this later?

T; Certainly. I'm sorry to make you feel uncomfortable.

A; That's okay. I'm kind of used to it.

O'Shay is rather surprised by the sudden shift in Tenma's behaviour as they both sit down in front of their "child" so to speak

ASTROBOY- "I care about humans and robots- they are my friends and i care about both of you my mentor Dr. OCHANOMIZU and my father DR. TENMA!"

DR. OCHANOMIZU- "I am proud of you ASTROBOY- you are like a son to me my boy!"

DR. TENMA- "I am also proud of you ASTROBOY- you are worthy to be loved by the people of EARTH- feel ashame of so many mistakes i have made- can you forgive me son?"

ASTROBOY got up and................

ASTROBOY - "BE right back !"

ZORAN barely had time to get away from the door but as she watch ASTROBOY walk out the door she could tell he was crying inside and outside..............

Tenma could only sigh in regret as he watched his son leave the room

O; I apologize for that; Astro's been rather nervous about this meeting ever since I told him about it last week.

T; It's alright...I shoud have expected for that to happen.

O'Shay stares rather shocked by his colleagues words, but immediately shrugs it off

[Astro Forever]

O'Shay opened the door and asked Astro to come back, telling Uran that she doesn't have anything to worry about. Astro took a deep breath and sat again in the little chair, and smiled again at Tenma.

Astro: Dr. Tenma, I already told you I forgave you. I... I would like you to be happy. I would like to know you better.

Tenma remained silent. "Know me better?", he thought. "What for?"
