It's pretty sad I can't for the life of me find anyone who bought the new Buddha Spanish DVD. I really wish I could have a rip of the subtitles since even a Google translation of them would be better than the bootleg's. I found one person on Twitter but they're ignoring me. Couldn't even find it uploaded anywhere online either.
It's like nobody cares about the movie which is a no-sense for me considering how deadly excited I was for it for more than a year and even bought the expensive Japanese edition (which is why I'm not getting this new cheap Spanish DVD).

I do understand your feelings, F-Man.
I dearly wish I could see/purchase the rest of the 1960's Astro Boy anime (the 89 as Astrobuddy calls them), but it's not even in print anymore from what I can see.
What about Viki? Any chance they might work on getting Buddha posted and subbed?

This?

I don't think Viki has any contract with Toei, but a user-translation on Viki probably still wouldn't be as professional as the Spanish DVD subs likely are.
I'm on Twitter.

Yes, it's on Amazon - but then look - I'm buying from ???? - Is it a person or actually Amazon.com? It's all in Japanese
It's an awful lot of money spend with a resource I can't read.
And is it new or used? I had checked on cdjapan, I think, and it said it was out of print.
If it is used, Tezuka Pro isn't getting any royalties anyway
I'm honestly going to contact them and also RightStuf and see if I can get some information about making the complete Astro Boy body of work available worldwide.
And I will also ask making Buddha available, as I also really wanted to see this movie!

It says "Ships from and sold by Amazon.co.jp." for me. But maybe you need to click a link in the top right corner to display the page in English. It's on CDJapan as well.
But we might get Astro Boy with subs someday thanks to this.
As for Buddha, it's out in Spain right now! Just hoping someone buys it and sends me the subs so I can translate them. That's what I've been getting at.

I agree with F-man, it is sold by Amazon, as indicated by this:
But even then, I bought Melmo boxed set from an Amazon seller, though it shipped from Amazon. I thought it was direct from Amazon, but it was used, so I should have known better. It worked just fine, I was just taken in by the then new thing of sellers having Amazon store & ship their items. As long as you can play R2 DVDs, you should have no trouble.
I think the "BEST OF" discs are still available, they were rather inexpensive compared to the 18 disc sets. It is too bad that the few excluded episodes from s1 & 2 were not on any of them.
BTW, I just love April's avatar!
Only 2 left in stock--order soon (more on the way).

You can find them verry cheap in Italy only problem being if your outside of europe i woudn't know any website that will ship it to you except for some ebay sellers."-Nick-" wrote:Just a quick question. Is it still possible to find the melmo DVDs? I'm going to watch the series on viki, but if I like it enough I'd like to be able to own it.
On a side note, is it at all possible to extract the sub scripts from viki at all?
