I think this story is going to be kind of "dark" and "adult" for my taste, but I think it will be very interesting to read his "serious" stuff, and this is great because it's never been presented to the English speaking world before, and my $35 helped make it happen. YAAAY Kickstarter!!

Is it already out yet for the rest of the world? I have been looking for Barbara for some time.
It will come out soon you better to buy it at thebookdepository.com cheapest way to get it in europe

(Guess whe should talk in English here :lol :) Yeha i know what you mean i don't have the HC editions of english releases of MW Kirihito and Buddha while there easy to get in Dutch (well actually more for the Belgium market but that's not the point here)
guess i should pick em up softcover is fine but HC better but that would still be double buy but o well it isn't that i don't own any other Tezuka thing twice in (diffrent languages)

But the reason that i don't buy these kind of things at Dutch websites is because i want the most out of my money and if that means buying it in the UK is 10 euro's cheaper or so than i'm not grazy.

EDIT : i just checked and it seems most of em already have gone out of print in Dutch ... must have been recently guess i could check more websites but not going to get them second hand if there really OPP everywhere than that means Uitgeverij L must have made an extreemly low print amount of them.

I see the Kickstarters for Tezuka have been going well, maybe it's time we usher one in for a Rainbow Parakeet translation in the west...Just saying...

Anyway, I recently just picked up Apollo's Song while I was on vacation. To be honest, I wasn't sure what to think of it at first when I initially started to read it. But once I got to the stuff involving Hiromi and that awesome chapter involving Queen Sigma, I actually found that I really liked it. It was a great take on what it means to love , and it's something I'll most likely read again when I get the chance ( or am in the mood).

Also, I got lucky and found a few spare volumes of Astro Boy in a local comic bookstore in Edmonton. Unfortunately, they were vintage, so I had to pay a little extra money. But in the end, they were well worth the money I spent. Heck, I even got both my cousin, AND my brother interested in them a bit as well.

Long time no see. Hello. :)

I've just finished the last of the sci-fi trilogy. Next I am going to begin my original Bilingual copy of Princess Knight. I shall post more regularly as I go through these books. They are my favourites.

Well I shall see what I can do. My main computer is in service but when I get it back I shall try to get pictures with a scanner to share here.

In the meantime I've read book 1 and I'm halfway through book 2. The story is a masterpiece.

My desktop computer is dead but I shall get a new one as soon as I can so I can set up my scanner. In the meantime I'm using my laptop to post and I've just begun book 4.

I'm still working out all my computer gear at home and now for a long time I am away overseas.

But here is an update of all the books I read before my three month holiday.
Astroboy Complete Set 23 books
Lost World
Metropolis
Nextworld Complete Set 2 books
Princess Knight Complete Set 6 books
Crime and Punishment
Dororo Complete Set 3 books

My brother has promised to try to help me get the Black Jack books I'm missing. So when I get back to Australia in 2013 I may read those next. I could get another full set possibly.

And I will work on the pictures of the Princess Knight books to share like I promised.
