Robot Characters You Would've Liked To See More Of

So I recently went through the entire 80's series and there were a number of robot characters I had wished we saw more of. While most of the episodes were standalone, there was the major continuing arc of Atlas and Astro. I'm personally a fan of story arcs and acknowledgement of past characters and events. So I thought it would've been cool to have seen some of the "guest" starring robot characters again.

1. Puck (the transforming robot) - he started out reckless and just wanting to help, but he really kicked butt once his dad completed him. It would've been great to see Puck grow up and be a really helpful robot with his awesome transforming ability.

2. Pepe (the merman robot) - for someone who is supposed to look over and protect the golden reef, he sure depended on Astro fending off the sharks. As a robot, I would've loved to have seen Pepe with some abilities and kick some butt.

3. True (the liar robot) - I know he died but he deserved redemption. you could tell he was only lying coz it was in his programming and that he wasn't doing it deliberately. What doesn't make sense is why the professor didn't just disable the lying unit after True told the girl the lie.

4. All "Greatest Robot In The World" robots - this 2-parter is one of most favorite stories of the series. I think it would've been cooler to have been introduced each of these "greatest robots" individually in earlier episodes so that when they died at the hands of Bruton it would've been much more powerful and tragic (not that there wasn't enough death and tragedy in the whole series ) The only thing I would've changed was get Fotar to tell Bruton something like "are you afraid to fight me in the sun when I'm at my strongest?" Fighting him in the rain seemed like Bruton was afraid to lose and it wasn't really a fair "greatest robot" fight.

[Anime Girl]

I liked Fireball from The Human Faced Rock. He is so cute and I just love his hairstyle, and he was really good friends with Uran. It would have been interesting to see him stay best friends with Uran.

Also I wish Niki from Astro's First Love could continue, but sadly that is not the case. OH MAN I WISH THEY COULD HAVE SAVED HER! ASTRO X NIKI FOR THE WIN!

Ahhhh Foxwolf. You are now my favourite member. I wouldve LOVED to have seen Photar interact with the children more as well as fight to defend the kindergarten. Yes also to Photar questioning Bruton's bravery. Ive been scarred by that episode since I first saw it when I was in grade 4!!!. And I wish Nikki had survived Hey does puck's father die? I also just assumed that true gets repaired but it wouldve been nice to see him again. But yeah to have seen Photar actually fight wouldve been awesome............to the point where I am trying to create via BLENDER the scene again but in 3D. Not as easy as it looks but Im getting there. I have Photar standing looking at Bruton with his cape fluttering in the wind. Just to get that done has taken 4 months lol. I suppose most of my time was spent just getting him to look right!!! I will admit he looks pretty badass (have defined his musculature more and gave him a better looking pair of boots.

I think that Denkou loosely translates to Light Ray if I'm not mistaken.

Hey!! Sorry about the delay in replying. Arrrggggh youve put me now in between a rock and a hard place. Id LOVE to show it off but really want to finish it. You will not believe the lengths Im going to to get it spot on. The speech software im using is invaluable in getting the voices right. And the movement of the mouths is the next stage. Am keeping original dialogue but extending the fight - Photar flies to the clouds, blasts Bruton then re-lands (in the same way that superman does in the kryptonite-island-scene in Superman goes Emo............uhhh I mean Superman Returns). Have Photar slowly looking up, Bruton picks himself up.......................and Ill happily take suggestions for what happens next.....

as for ideas. I think something showing off his sunlight strength would be cool. maybe he shoots something into the clouds that clears an opening into the sky and sunlight beams down and Fotar soaks it in and powers up. Then he could deliver a huge blast to take down Bruton.
