Yes, it's almost there!
Almost all episodes of the 1980 series of Tetsuwan Atom already got uploaded in Viki's Tezuka channel:

Mind you, I think getting the license to the 2003 series might be a bit tough seeing as how it was a co-production, but I'd like to see it happen.
I agree. Sony will probably ask for a lot in order to let someone else stream the series for them. So it's more likely that if it's possible, it would be with the other classic anime streaming site that's coming soon, since that one will work on a crowdfunding model.
It's nice that Viki is subbing Astro Boy themselves since it just wasn't getting done otherwise, but I hope this isn't the only series they'll be doing... It's hard to be excited about something that had already been subbed on DVD. I hope they do Kimba '89 next. It did get a couple more episodes subbed yesterday by the user kaycake, but she's working on tons of different anime at once, and pretty much alone, so it's unrealistic to expect she'll continue until episode 52.
But keep watching those videos folks. Viki says that they're always looking for more Tezuka licenses, but they need more views first.

I guess anything is possible, but considering all the Tezuka anime that Viki has acquired is stuff copyrighted Tezuka Productions, and none is by Mushi Production, I'm not holding my breath. Same for Astro Boy 2003 which is mostly by Sony, and Jetter Mars mostly by Toei.
But there was a possible hint of Princess Knight for the other upcoming streaming site I mentioned. Princess Knight is a Mushi Production show, so I'd place my bets for the 60's Astro Boy on that site.

Excited thay already anouced a Tezuka title on there website before it it even exsist just hope i will be able to fund and all being outside of NA.
Also Tatsunoko pro has some awesome classics and series like Shinzo and stuff glad they be joining the game don't really know about Pierrrot though i know them mainly from Naruto and Bleach din't knew they where in the game for that long.
But i have a feeling i would rather Toei to have joined already let alone for the Tezuka stuff.
From any Anime studio i have BY FAR seen the most of Toei i know there's still so much good stuff from them i don't know about.
Also TMS is missing having had such a good buisness relation with the US in the past and having been around for so long they really should jump on this change.

No problem there. I've been waiting for the 80's Astro Boy series to get more subbed episodes out, so hopefully I can start watching in the next few episodes once I get caught up on my anime streaming list.
