You can find them verry cheap in Italy only problem being if your outside of europe i woudn't know any website that will ship it to you except for some ebay sellers.[/QUOTE]

There's always Amazon.it.

Viki subs can be ripped by recording your PC screen with Camstudio and then converting the subs to SRT using SubRip. Or even easier still would be to rip the Italian subs from the DVDs and pass the SRT through Google Translate.

I bought a used set from amazon.co.jp, though it does seem rare that sellers are willing to ship internationally. I was just lucky, I guess.

I actually went out my way and FINALLY bought the second Japanese Astro Boy set from the 1960's i went with that because i have most previous episodes in edited english so making it kinda messed up.

Also it was the most expensive product i have EVER bought !!! not even because of the product itself because it was priced-down issue making it less the then my W3 set but the shipping !!!
to ship a huge 18 disc set it must have been like another 35 and also paying with paypal din't help with the Yen to Euro convertion.
It costed me so far over 182 EURO's imagene how many DVD's you can buy for that in the West !!!!!
But i guess for Japanese DVD standards it's pretty cheap.
If only the recular edition where available it would have been something like close to 250 Euro's  .

Also CDJapan was by far the cheapest option i know to get it.

but look how badass it looks with Pluto on the cover !!!

I did the same thing, Tetsuwan Atom, for the same reason; but eventually bought set #1, also. Yes, the shipping was rather high, especially since I used EXPRESS MAIL, which I chose because only it had the tracking & delivery confirmation. In retrospect, it may have been cheaper to have bought it from Amazon.co.jp, because it uses FEDEX or other shipper. I paid about $100 or more, just for the shipping. But I feared spending so much and having it lost en route.

We must talk! I have been so wanting another person who also has the DVDs I have. :w00t: I too, have the W3 set, & have notes on all episodes in both series. PM me with your email address if you want a copy of those notes. I used the Tezuka site's synopses pages as the basis, & added my own stuff in red text. In the W3 notes, I also added portraits of most characters, though with MIGHTY ATOM, I made the portraits files separately from the notes.

I think I see Cobalt on the cover of the booklet farthest to the right. This pleases me, for some inexplicable reason. Also makes me want to win at Publisher's Clearing House, or the Powerball Lottery, or something.
