I had an IV once, myself; when my wisdom teeth were removed. I was pretty out of it before long, though, so it wasn't too bad. I remember having a particular dislike for the gas, and the heady, almost dizzy sensation it provided. (thinking about it almost makes me feel it!) That, and the lack of "real" air.

The traumatizing event happened a week later, though; when I went back to have some extra bit of the gum removed when it started healing over the tooth after a suture popped...

I... do not like to talk about it very much. It's still much too soon.

You have not lived until you have a spinal tap.

I remember having a tooth 'pulled'; I felt like Curly with Moe as the dentist. The guy really did pry it out! :hyo:

Well, look like that topic went off-topic.
What's the issue with these series after all? There is anything else to mention about the chapters?

I think we have covered these rather well; I hesitate to post any more pages, as I lack the right to. I am thus torn between my desire to share & my respect for copyright. I hope fair use covers it. :p

Ok, if somebody keep making off-topic, then the best will be closing the thread.
We already have a off-topic section for random issues.

I think it's okay to share. It's not like any of us can read them, anyway (well, maybe except for a small few). And if it turns out to be a problem, then take them down. In such a vague circumstance, I think it's better to ask forgiveness, than to ask for permission, especially if you have no idea who you should be asking in the first place, or lack the means to.

Spinal Tap... isn't that the name of a band? :D
Also, I don't rightly know what it is, but it sounds... painful. O-O;

They put a needle into your spinal cord & remove some of its fluid. Enough, in fact, that you cannot even sit up straight lest it drain from your brain case & leave it dry. :d evil: It is quite unpleasant.

;A; Oh... oh my word...
WHY would they do that!? WHAT could possibly warrant that to be done!?

Looking for the reason behind my neurological affliction, & cat scans were not enough.

I would like to summarize:
1972: Tezuka decides to create a new manga serial starring Mighty Atom. The idea is to respond to all those requests to bring Atom back, (In 1972 Atom had not appeared in a regular series since 1969) and try a new look he had in mind for Atom. The serial now known as "Atom Returns" was published in "Fourth Grader" magazine. (4/72-9/72) In this serial Atom is restored "to life", but with a slight memory loss. The serial was partially reprinted in English in Dark Horse's "Osamu Tezuka's Original Astro Boy vol.# 22. The serial ends after Atom has had some adventures traveling thru time and space and ends with his companion, Spica at his side as he has saved her from becoming a bomb and destroying the Earth.

At about the same time Tezuka creates another series of adventures for Atom utilizing the same look for Atom as in "Fourth Grader", but this time the series is published in "First Grader" magazine. (4/72-3/73) This series is used as an introduction for the character to children too young to have seen Atom's original series. (Both the anime and the original manga.)
The series begins similarly to "Atom Returns" with some changes. There is no sign of Atom needing repair and the adventures are more humorous and juvenile in nature. (Also Atom does not seem to have any memory loss.) The adventures end on a humorous note when a destructive robot channels his destructive energies when he is converted into a bowling ball.

The new look for Atom proves unpopular and Atom does not appear in a new series until 1980. Before that Tezuka creates "Jetter Mars" utilizing some of the aspects of Atom's new look. And if no one else has anything pertinent to add to this thread then maybe it should be closed.

I  :astro: :)
