Atom and Uran as lovers? O_o

okay, yeah, it's true . . . but it didn't really go that far. You know, Atom held her hand - but no kissing, etc.

One thing that made Nuka "ideal" was that she was intellectually matched to Atom - and pretty darn plucky (she obviously didn't have his physical strength or ability to fly, but when you're packing a big ol' bomb, hey . . . what else do you need).

Hasn't anyone ever noticed, though . . . that superhero's never really have a girlfriend/wife? It's kind of funny. And tragic!

I guess Spica (in that other thread) is truly the closest Atom comes to a real girlfriend (and she tried to KILL him! :rolleyes

Atom loved Nuka romantically, & she was essentially his twin sister, since she was made from his design. Uran was designed by Ochanomizu, & was nowhere near as sophisticated as Atom. Had they met under different circumstances, they might never have known they were intended to be siblings. They were, as were all but Cobalt, adopted family members. Nuka, though meeting Atom under the circumstances in episode #52, was his sister as much as it was possible for a robot to have a sister. Just food for thought.

Nuka was made with a dangerous blueprint which would had bombs, it was not the same design as Atom.

Uran was purelly intended to be a sister and each other accepted themselves as siblings.

Nuka in other hand was a prototype of a bomb robot instead and her creator would like to use for crimes.

That was a completely non family situation.

Yeah, I'm with you. Different creators or not, Astro sees her like a little sister. She's like an adopted little sister so they may not be "blood" relatives but to him, she is her sister and would never think in such a way about her.

The brotherhood of both Atom and Uran can teach children siblings about how they should understand and respect each other

People who want to make both as "sex fiends" are really wrong.

Incest is pretty much a bad idea and it should not be teached.

Even a episode of Dokkoider (a super hero parody) mocked the incest, everyone thought the main character was a sex fiend including the little girl who pretended to be his sister (since both had secret identities as super-heroes and had to pretend to be both brother and sister).

Then, he said that even non blood related siblings should consider themselves as parents, because it's what family trully is.

With this the female villains stopped destroying the city, because they got convinced the main character in his normal identity was not such a sex fiend and they should relax.

In note: the super-heroes and villains lived in the same apartment and don't knew each other identities.

I even thought if the late Tobio wished to have a sister, if he had, then perhaps he would not run to his death like happened in the 2003 series.

Because, he would have a little sister waiting for him.

That just doesn't sound right at all. It sounds like the plot of a dirty doujinshi.

Even if it was just an innocent joke about bizarre things little kids say but don't really mean, I can't see it working with Atom and Uran, somehow.

I think it IS the plot of a dirty doujinshi or two. I've seen people complain about finding similar things on the Internet around here.

Cobalt /was/ an adopted sibling, in the manga. It was only in the anime that he and Atom shared a creator (although, I find this inconsistencey in origins to be a little confusing sometimes; mainly as one story has him older, while the other has him younger, but almost like a twin at the same time).

Nuka was built from blueprints that Atom's blueprints were based upon (although they kinda hatched that one together; this story doesn't even seem to have a proper time setting- it could have happened anytime during the series, the way it was introduced). She could be considered a "sister" of some kind, but one could also argue the "different creator" story. There's also the fact that she was never intended to be anyone's sister; she was just a prototype.

However, Nuka and Atom didn't seem to have much of a romantic connection until the very end, when she was about to die.

It's not that I hate doujins...

The problem is that they mostly focus in hentai like horrible situations which includes incest.

And is not quite a good idea submitting links for doujins when underaged users may find the doujins which are NOT safe for work.

O.k., obviously Atom & Nuka were at the very least attracted to each other, & they shared certain design features, one might say they were cousins, at the very least. Granted, their attraction was because they were robots in a world of humans, dominated by humans. They were robots about the same size, with similar intellectual capacity, etc. Though Nuka apparently knew why Atom had come, she was so lonely, that it mattered not.

Atlas, though built much closer to Atom's design, hated him, but only because they were on opposite sides of the law. Atlas apparently did have an unconscious affection for Atom, seeing that he let him off on several occasions. Libian had to remind him of their relationship, though Atlas had tried to forget about it. He found himself unable to go all-out in his fight against Atom, & may have wondered why. But Atlas & Atom would have been friendly had not Walpurgiss forced Atlas into crime, & met Atom as an opponent.

Recall that Robio & Robiette were attracted to each other because of their similarities. Though their creators were competitors, their ideas for them resulted in similarities; & hence, attraction.

On the other hand, Mars & Agnes had no such similarities, yet there was apparently more than just empathy between them. Every boy in class, including Shibugaki, was throbbing s for Agnes. Without a doubt, 1980s #52 was inspired by Jetter Mars #19, MARS' 1ST LOVE, though it did introduce elements of its own. Would Atom have risked himself in an apparently hopeless task, otherwise? Would Nuka have risked herself without true love?

Atom and Uran compliment each other well as siblings and I like how Uran can be so hard to handle at times and gives Atom such fits. I've had the experiance both ways as a meddlesome younger brother and know it all older who's little sister drove him nuts when he tried to impress his age on her.
