Atom and Uran as lovers? O_o

Awwww . . . yeah, you've gotta point there (although I think we could list numerous times Atom ran his efforts right up to the very last second). But you're right - he was completely P.O.ed that Nuka was needlessly sacrificed, and the selflessness both Nuka and Atom expressed to each other was exquisite.

But back to the topic (sorry Toshio! :blush , I don't see any need for Uran to be anything to Atom but his sister. That, in and of itself, is a wonderful and rich relationship. After all . . . don't you think Dr. Tenma already has blueprints drawn up for Atom's "perfect mate?!"

Back in topic, Atom and Uran's brotherhood is a wonderful existence in anime.
I never saw such a beautiful relationship between brother and sister outside the 2003 series.
It felt much more dynamic and darling that it hurts seeing people making them as sex fiends.

And I even thought that would good for Atom wishing for Uran to get a boyfriend, but one which could be worthy and not just all handsome, but rotten inside.
So, I did the story "When Uran Falls In Love" which Zeus was actually a robot bent into using Uran's feelings to led Atom to a trap.

I think a relationship between Uran and Mars in fanfics to be funny specially if Atom believes that Mars can be a bad influence for his sister, lol

I often think about the relationship between Innuyasha & 1/2 brother Sesshomaru when thinking about Atom & Atlas. I do not know when Innuyasha was written, but I think it was no earlier than the mid or late 1980s.

I personally find "incest" quite of a bad idea, it's not like real love, but instinct and animals often don't care about getting attracted by their own siblings or even mother and children.
Not just that, but the incest often result children with genetic cancer which have no cure and leads to premature deaths.
That's why is pointless for someone trying to support such a horrible thing.

I'm bringing back this year old thread because I recently finished off a fan fiction story with a MUCH older (like in her 90's) Uran falling in love with her younger brother, but NOT Atom, Chi-tan!

Actually Chi-tan was not created as a sibling for the Tetsuwan family, he was adopted after the purpose for his original creation changed. Also Uran fell for him from the very beginning and wanted him (originally as a baby brother, but what else WOULD a 7 year old child be thinking seeing a baby?).

In my story all four of the Tetsuwan children are able to grow up, thanks to the invention of robot 'nanites', microscopic robot 'antibodies' that provide them self repair and self modification AKA they can now age and grow up.

So ... Uran is reunited with Chi-tan after he returns from a deep space mission after 70 years (and well preserved thanks to Einstein's twin paradox relativity theory), and falls for him in a deeper way. As AprilSeven pointed out, maybe Chi-Tan was made FOR Uran, and not as a brother.

I would agree with the Astro x Uran logic mentioned here. Uran WAS programmed to be a SISTER for Astro by Dr. Ochanomizu.

Yeah, It's gross to see Uran and Atom as a couple. There supposed to be brother and sister not lovers. I also dislike it when people make bros. and sis. as couples. (Like Rin and Len in Vocaloid for ex. They are Twin brother and sister though remarked as just a mere reflection.) It's gross and people really need to stop with that. I mean I can take kisses on the cheek, but not on the lips! (Ew! )

Atom and Uran are just Brother and Sister. Nothing more.

Actually it's not incest if adopted siblings, not related by blood fall in love and marry, though it may seem awkward, especially if they've known each other AS siblings since a young age.
Since Uran was built AS and programed AS Astro's sister, they might as well be blood relatives. In the case of Uran and Chi-tan, I feel Chi-tan is clearly adopted since he was NOT built AS a brother to Uran or Atom (at least in the Anime. The Manga version of the story might have been different.)
