A bad issue about japanese singers is the fact anime often have their original music removed when distributed in USA, so few people from America have reference of japanese singers.

It's a pity that there are no interest of showing the original theme songs with lyrics during certain scenes.
With this, many fans have no idea of what they're missing till they watch the original.

Japanese songs often have high quality which is unmatched if compared with the adaptations.

Also, check "Black Hole Message" and "Henshin Theme Song".

He is Toshiya Igarashi who sang several songs for Kamen Rider Black.

His voice sounds pretty cool, that he could give a lot of impact if he sang these theme songs of Tetsuwan Atom series.

Imagine that singer doing the cover of Tetsuwan Atom intro or True Blue?

Hmm. For the Japanese version I'd like to hear Jpop duo ClariS sing it, they sang a cover of the 2003 series theme by Zone, so I'd like to hear their version of Astro's theme. I can actually sing both the Japanese theme, and the English dub (from the 80's series since that fits the music the most).

100% agreed on Hironobu Kageyama. I don't think I've listened to a song of his that I didn't like. He'd definitely give a new boost of energy into the Astro Boy series.

Masatoshi Ono would be another great singer for an opening. He's most recently sung the opening and the second ending for the new Hunter X Hunter anime. I think he'd be a great singer to do an Astro Boy theme song.
