What did you learn today?

When Italians first received tomatoes, they didn't want to eat them. They were thought to be poisonous because of the lead plates they ate off of. The acid from the tomatoes would melt the led, and when the people would eat them they'd get sick. The poor people could eat them as they couldn't afford lead plates.
I was like woah. Tomatoes aren't actually Italian.

Also potatoes weren't originally from Ireland.

Today I learned that it was possible to save a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching my car into reverse and driving away from the accident.
