I almost feel like Grandma Moses, a famous painter who didn't 'discover' her talent until she was well into her 70's (Which is about 15 years more than I have). I haven't EVER tried to write ANYTHING (except technical crap for work and some stuff on the web). I have an AWFUL problem with grammar and spelling (thank god for Google as a spell checker). Lately I've been spending an hour or three a night at the keyboard on this stuff. I've been able to get an average of two chapters a week assembled so far (now that Castle, Chicago Fire, Grey's anatomy, and Merlin have finished their season runs I might have a bit more time).

Still, I doubt that I'll keep it up at this speed. We'll see how long it remains fun.

Well you've definitely got some talent, let me tell you.

I have an AWFUL problem with grammar and spelling (thank god for Google as a spell checker)

Well at least you bother to check your spelling. I've seen some disastrous writings because people are too lazy to check their grammar, spelling, and sentence structure.

Still, I doubt that I'll keep it up at this speed. We'll see how long it remains fun.

That's entirely up to you. As long as you don't turn into one of those people that updates once every three and a half months, It'd be fine by me :D

Well it might drop to ONCE a week.
BTW I'll probably miss next weekend as I'll be up in NYC for a bat mitzvah. 'Course I will take my laptop with me (Never leave home without it).

I notice that while your spelling is technically correct, you seem to use the wrong words in places. This isn't an altogether uncommon occurrence in writing, though: homonyms are among the easiest to mix up, along with words with similar spellings and/or pronunciation, but different meanings. (i.e. "Adam's furry had returned." No offense or anything, but I found this funny, for some strange reason. )

Well spelling checkers are idiot savants. I usually try to check the meaning of a word on google after accepting a spell check, but I always miss something. I'm no English major :( My wife can spot a misspelled word from across the room (literally). I think my other problem would be where and when to use commas, colons and semi-colons. I think I've figured out the first ... most of the time. I suppose if you have a language wired brain you'd find the mistakes of those slightly challenged funny ... I can spot gross errors when others make them and laugh (to myself). Like someone else confused break and brake. At least I wouldn't miss THAT one.

I can always go back and fix these things later ... for posterities sake.

I suppose you could. Typos are a lot of fun sometimes, though, you gotta admit.

Also, remember when I told you that you had a "spacing problem" in your first story? I never did look to see what you did to try and correct it; what I was trying to tell you, though, is that it's all one big, long story. There are chapters, sure, but FF shows it as one big chapter. Your other stories avoided this problem, but this one in particular still registers as one whole thing; no chapter count.

Also, I've been meaning to ask: what exactly IS a pastiche? I think that I can gather an inferred definition, or at least part of one, but I like being sure. (Reading Comprehension: my forté. ^-^; )
