It's probably just a cartoon crush. I had little ones before actually. I once thought I had feelings for three people at one time, but it wasn't real. It was just part of that "teenage phase" I was (and still am) in. Y'know when you think you love someone, but it's really just your body playing tricks on you. (I hope that made sense)
Your feelings are probably just results of this phase. Just don't worry about it.
If it really bugs you, you know where to go to talk to someone about it. It'll probably go away in a little bit. Or not.

Just let your feelings towards him happen, and try to enjoy them. Sure enough, affection for a fictional character will always stay platonic, but even these kind of affections can be pleasant.
Your love for Astro is unconditional, since you know you can't expect anything in return, and therefore you won't get disappointed.

To me, Astro's peaceful face has almost Buddha-like qualities: Each time I look at him, I feel peace and love within me.
Astro just mirrors the love we all bear inside of us.

Exactly. My anime crush is Roy Mustang from Fullmetal Alchemist, but I certainly don't expect anything because he's fictional. Besides, I ship him with Riza Hawkeye. Royai FTW!

okay speaking in which having a crush on astroboy, it's more of a fase, I went through it too. I used to talk about astro boy non stop and that's all I'd ever talk about. I got over it though I was a big fan girl, but I think your just a really big fan boy.

When I was really into astro boy, I felt like some situations astro went through like fitting were going on in my life. So yes we may feel for him as a character because it goes back to our life and what's going on. You may tend to act like him a bit because you have same interests as him, but it's just more of a BIG obsession. Eventually for me I became less of an obsessed fan, yes I may have thought he was adorable, but that feeling has lowered a bit, causing me to think less of him. Now I wouldn't say it's completly weird for a guy to have these thoughts, but I do think it's a bit different. ( sorry if this may be offensive I hope not )

OK, here is something weird along these lines.
I just came back from visiting my sister, it was my Niece's Bat Mitzvah.
My sister adopted her two kids about two years apart, when each were about 6 months old. Both kids, a girl and a boy, are from Korea. My nephew is the cutest and most adorable little kid. He is still suffering from some physical disabilities and is going though therapy, but he is almost normal now. Anyway he has the typical straight hair and brown eyes of most Asians, and is a little short for his age (11) at about 4.5' tall and 70 lbs soaking wet.

Part of what makes him so endearing, is that it doesn't take much imagination to visualize him as .... you know who. (We will be up there again in the middle of October, do I dare suggest a Halloween costume for him ?????)
