PRINCESS KNIGHT ARRIVES!

Postby ASTROBUDDY » 12 years ago

I just received my copy of the "Princess Knight" DVDs.

The restoration is good, I just wish they had left some of the information re: Joe Oriolo's involvement.

I  :astro: :)

One distributor on eBay decided not to wait until the official release date and sold it and I bought it. Hope you get yours soon as I stated before the restoration is very good.

Then again if you can get an advance copy thru someone other than TRSI, then I suggest why not? (TRSI is the main distributor in the US and Canada, and any dealer wanting to sell the item in the US &/or Canada would still have to get it from TRSI, so you won't be taking any money out of their pockets.) Remember TRSI no longer takes payments online from PayPal, and that is simply the only way I will pay for anything online. But then again that's just me.

Also just watched the second episode. (The package has no episode title listing) and find the animation and coloring most vivid. While not giving any credit to Joe Oriolo for purchasing the original English dubbing rights, they at least credit the voice cast in what I presume is the first time this was done. Each voice actor is credited for the character they portrayed.

That's nice! I too in the past have purchased items directly from TRSI! I have even provided information to TRSI re: Astro Boy!

Well that's really early woudn't know how some retailer would have done that where taling about 20 days before the actual company making it releases it never seen this before.

And from what i'm getting here there's no extra's like with the asto and kimba sets that's disappointing.

It's always annoying when there are no extras in DVDs but still it's good to buy. The Astro Ultrabox sets had tons of extras though that I enjoyed. That and it's probably hard to find extras for these series... what are they going to put other than artwork? The interview with Fred Ladd was a treasure but for the other series I'm not sure if any significant extra could be added... maybe a short essay...
