Any idea when the first BJ series will be shipped? I hope they have a DVD supplier lined up, and I guess after the first group is done later runs will be quicker as the supply chain would be in place. BTW my issue is simply budget with two daughters in college!

Oh I just noticed the link on Anime Sols to download my wallpaper.
I got the Tezuka Wallpaper #6. A good chunk of the star system members are marching right to left in a triangle formation with Astro at the lead. They are all carrying candles. Tezuka missed out on one obvious idea, Lamp is missing! I'd have put him in there with the candle on his head! Oh well!

BTW, I was watching Marine Express, and when Duke Red's daughter asked Adam/Atom his name, I could have sworn I heard him say Atomu, not Adamu (if that is how ADAM is pronounced in Japanese?).

I think I saw that wallpaper a while ago, but in much smaller resolution. It seemed to be made for Tezuka's commemoration. I think it's beautiful, but also touching.
I totally can see Lamp with the candle on his head among the crowd!

Yes, Adam is pronounced as 'Adamu'. The Japanese pronunciations of 'Atomu' and 'Adamu' don't differ that much, even more so when the words are spoken fast and unclear.

Yes, Adam is pronounced as 'Adamu'. The Japanese pronunciations of 'Atomu' and 'Adamu' don't differ that much, even more so when the words are spoken fast and unclear.

I could clearly hear Ochanomizu pronounce it as Adamu, but Atom's voice being higher in pitch (and spoken in a murmur) was harder to understand.

Time for me to shift gears to Black Jack, since despite what I assumed would be an easy win for the second set, turns out it's really slowed down in the last weeks and now has probably an even bigger lack of support than the first set had.

If even Black Jack is struggling so much, that can't bode well for the Tezuka specials...

There are currently 146 supporters of the first Black Jack set who are somehow missing in action for the second set.

I'm one and I'm sorry to say it's a budget issue. Two kids in college and uncertainty about current job. If things improve I'll be back for the next round, but for now my bookkeeper (wife) says no way.
