I guess their sonar will warn them in time to avoid you but they might have a sense of humor and pull up at the last instant to get their kicks. I bet they are such good flyers that they could give Yeager (or Astro) a run for his money.

Pfft, I'm pretty sure they know the difference between hair and an insect. I don't think that most bats even eat gnats, anyway. As for the pool, there was likely a myriad of insects hanging around at the time. They could also have been drinking, although I'm a bit concerned over the effects of drinking pool water would have on the health of a bat.

All I'm saying is you might understand my uneasiness if you've had them fly within inches of your face on repeated occasions. But LESS when your hair was covered.

Mm, I suppose it's understandable. But I still like bats. I guess it's kind of like mice: they're awfully cute, and fun to look at; but you wouldn't want them anywhere near you (or on you).
