My family and I stopped in San Fransisco around when this was going on, but we didn't go to it. It was before I became a fan of Astro Boy though, so I don't think I would've appreciated it as much as I can now. Definitely would've been interesting to go to.

I think that SF has a sizeable "Little Tokyo" section. There might be a lot of Japanese manga magazines for sale there. Wonder if you thought of that?

This trip has been slightly stressful for me because I'm not really here for fun but rather because my best friend had to get his surgery done here, I came with him for moral support and to more or less be a nurse.

I did not have as much time to explore as I would have liked but did manage to visit a GIANT comic book shop that had plenty of manga available, though admittedly I bought more American comics than anything. This trip was fun, but exhausting and I will definitely visit again one day.
