MANGA reprints, UNIT 2

I found a seller willing to ship internationally, & Unit 2 arrived today! It covers #23, Alien's Ball / Mysterious Ball through #34, Underground Armored Car / Subterranean Tank. I flipped through the pages, & the most notable thing I saw was Dr. Fooler was drawn much differently than we have seen him. It will take a while for me to have further details, so be patient.

Finally a response; thanks, Dragonrider1227. This image is from the (I assume) original Version of COUNT BAT. Atom was rather upset with these new features, & was complaining that his friends at school would think him a monster. As he was very emotional about it, he suddenly noticed the fluid on the ground, & realized it was from his eyes. Overjoyed with the new ability to weep, he forgot about his complaint entirely.

I have yet to determine how this fits into the overall plot of the story, as I am still going through the stories in Unit 2. But I will say this: Tenma has a big surprise for you in THE EGYPTIAN CONSPIRATORS that makes this image seem like nothing unusual.

Hm, I didn't know that the machine guns weren't already built in. It seems that the nose thing was scrapped fairly early on, though. He has an antenna in his topmost spike in most representations of him (at least, all of the ones where you can see inside of his head), so maybe it was moved around to be less stupid/obtrusive.

Dr. Tezuka himself smoked. Maybe that led to his stomach cancer.

I do not recall seeing an antenna inside Atom's 'spike,' Little Brown Fox; I will take note of it if I do see it.

Mercury also causes demencia and other brain disorders. The heavy metal can also be absorbed through the skin. It was once used in molding hats, hence the term, "mad as a hatter".
