If you're not a good writer, the only way to fix that is to practice, which means writing more. I hate the mentality "you're no good at this, you should just stop" in so many negative reviews. And the beauty of publishing works in progress online is that you can get feedback in real time as you work, instead of just starting months after you finish, so you can put that feedback to use right away. If the person had just said what didn't make sense, it would be easier to see what you might need to work on.

Also, the article quoted, I looked it up and it's just awful. The writer has such a huge chip on her shoulder. Plus the hypocricy present in an article telling you not to be a writer written by, well, a writer.
