But not all anime are like that!! Just One Piece and Fairytail and all those other animes I dislike. No offenese to fans, but I regard some anime as rather shallow.

Maybe you should show them anime like Studio Ghibli's films, those are absolutely clean and will show parents that not all anime are "creepy" in THAT FREAKING SORT OF WAY.

My dad doesn't even like Studio Ghibli though. In Taiwan lots of grownups think anime is too childish.

Start from these:

1. Arrietty
2. Kiki's Delivery Service
3. From Up on Poppy Hill (This one is the best to start letting parents watch Ghibli)
4. Ponyo

DO NOT start from these, if you start from these, it's SUICIDE:

1. Spirited Away
2. Howl's Moving Castle
3. Mononoke Hime
4. Naucissa of the Valley of the Wind
5. Tales from Earthsea
6. Pom Poko

You know why you can't show 'em the last six ones on the list?

Because:

1. They are fantasy stories and have monsters in them, so parents might not like the style.
2. In "Naucissa" there are giant flying bugs parents will hate.
3. IN "MONONOKE HIME" THERE IS BLOOD AND FIGHTING.

Thanks to Mononoke Hime, my dad doesn't like Studio Ghibli anymore.

4. "Spirited Away" has too many monsters in it.

5. "Pom Poko" is such a cute and funny film! XD

But don't show it to parents anyway, because the racoons in it can transform into Japanese folklore monsters. While I find the monsters funny, parents will find it cuckoo.

Why you should show them "From Up on Poppy Hill" first:

1. It's nor fantasy nor sci-fi, it's about real life. High school life!
2. It's drawn beautifully. Very. And the music is marvelous.
3. No fighting scenes whatsoever.
4. A heartwarming and wonderful story.
5. Though it does get slightly boring in the middle. But it's a good film.

Next you could show 'em Kiki, and then Arrietty, and last, Ponyo.

Don't. Show. Them. Anything. Else. It's. Suicide.

I'll add one more: You can show 'em "Kaze Tachinu".....IF your parents don't mind war scenes, the story takes place in the World War. No blood or violence, though, just mentions of a war and an airplane crash.

I love Spirited away, but parents won't. Except for perhaps my mom.

Do you want the link to Spirited Away's theme song "Itsu Nando Demo"??
