I took piano lessons for a little while, but it didn't fit well into my schedule. I think I'll try learning it on the piano too :)

751: If you see a cute little eight-year-old Japanese boy on TV and stare until you are stupid and try picturing him as Atomu.
I joined this forum in late 2013 when I was 15 going on 16. Ignore my oldest posts, they embarrass me so much that I've considered permanantly leaving the forum more than once. I've grown out of my fangirling phase over Black Jack, Atom and Uran ages ago but the memories still embarrass me at times... Though, I try to be more open-minded about it and accept it as an "interesting stage of my life". :tezuka:

When you're a dumb Yank ANY cute eight to ten year old Asian boy would trigger that reaction. When my sister's adopted Korean kid was younger (and didn't have his glasses on) .... well you know :astro:

#752: When you contemplate heavily on what Atom's favorite flavor of ice cream is.

... I seriously think it would be strawberry, but it would have to be the kind with actual strawberries in it. Maybe the kind with fruit and swirls of cream.

In the doujinshi Kaze Ni Naru an OC asked Atomu what kind of ice cream he liked and I made him say vanilla. Why? I don't know. Because the color is white and pure and suits him, probably :D

Same here. I have shotacon issues to go with that..... :shifty:

:tezuka: :astro: :tenma: <------ I think I'll just blame them. ;) (Well, it's obviously Atomu's fault he looks so cute that I turned into a shotacon but I've also got to blame Dr. Tenma and Osamu Tezuka for MAKING him that cute!)

753: If you try to convince your new friends who are into Tezuka at school to read Atomu manga, and then try to convince that he has guns in his butt not only for fighting but also for "special protection"...... :d evil:

754: If it's lunch break and while every else is either eating and chatting about dumb things and reading stupid textbooks that you've spent all morning reading your head off at the tables of the school library, you are reading Tezuka manga (Mostly Atomu and Black Jack; but lately I've also been reading Triton, Dracula and Midnight) while sitting on the wooden floor in front of the library windows on the forth floor and listen to some kid playing Joe Hisaishi's music on the piano (he's the main composer for Studio Ghibli) and stare out the window at the clouds and wonder why the heck the Tezuka fandom is so freaking small while lots of stupid cartoons or animes with nearly no storyline or good characters at all are so popular.

755: If when you run to the school library (Did I mention that it's the only place I love in the whole school?) you whoosh past the windows and notice that when you run your bangs fly up and your hair looks 70% similar to Atomu's.

756: If you've been reading Tezuka manga again lately and you wonder why in the world did you kick Dr. Ochanamizu out of your head canon and he's not in your doujinshi.

---- I'm trying to draw him in Studio Ghibli style now so I can fit him into Kaze Ni Naru somehow. I suddenly realize it's not fair to kick him out just because I'm lousy at drawing cartoony characters like him; after all he's literally like Atomu's adoptive parent and guardian, and in the original series Atomu wouldn't have been able to leave that stupid circus if it weren't for him.

I've tried lately and I really am terrible at drawing cartoon-style sort of anime characters so I hope you guys don't mind if I draw him in Miyazaki's style. What do you think?
