Personality Changing?

Postby Windswept Cloak » 11 years ago

It's remarkable how I look back at some of my old posts and wonder, "Goodness me, I wrote that?"

I think my personality kind of changed a little these months. Probably because a lot has been going on in my family and at school lately.

I look at the stuff I write now (how I "talk" online) and noticed a few differences. For one thing I "talk online more calmly" now, I don't really type up rather emotional stuff anymore, unless I'm complaining about school, that is. And I don't keep typing up silly info on my original mangas anymore. Why spoil all the surprises by giving out so much summary?

Also, just forget that my "abandoned OC" Yuuki Kawashiro ever existed. The thought of using to have a crazy character like her embarrasses me now, since I've "grown" a little through the months and when I look back to see how I'be portrayed her in mangas and doujinshis, I realized she just comes off as silly. So as some of you already know I replaced her with a much better-developed OC, Mikuko.

Man, it's really amusing how when I look at old stuff I've written or "said" online I can't believe I wrote all that! Like when I used to type up off-topic riddles on my manga stories and asked Angel of the Stars to guess. That was a little childish of me, I must admit. I mean after all this is a forum for Tezuka's works, so I can't keep talking about my stuff. From now on I won't talk about my works unless in two threads: my artwork thread in General Dicussions and my fanfic thread in Fan Creations.

Which means, I'll do my best to stick to the subject and stop bringing up my own works from now on.

My teacher says that personalities and thoughts never change (really? don't think so, actually) but I think I've changed a lot through these months. Like how I used to try to be friendly with even the "shallow girls and silly pervy guys" in class but now all of the sudden I'm in "Coldface Mode" to everyone at school except for the nice kids.

Who says people don't change? I surely changed a lot. ;)

I joined this forum in late 2013 when I was 15 going on 16. Ignore my oldest posts, they embarrass me so much that I've considered permanantly leaving the forum more than once. I've grown out of my fangirling phase over Black Jack, Atom and Uran ages ago but the memories still embarrass me at times... Though, I try to be more open-minded about it and accept it as an "interesting stage of my life". :tezuka:

I get small personality changes in short amounts if time too. I'll look back at a post or a drawing, and I'll just be like "What??? What was it thinking?"
Sometimes I'll delete like Facebook posts so they don't make my page look stupid :p

I have to agree, you have changed (for the better). :)

And those riddles were making my brain go in a bunch of crazy loops and knots, and so on. I'm just not the type for riddles!

You're a teenager. It's typical to change drastically from month to month. I remember going from shy and reclusive to bold and outgoing in just three weeks. Then I kind of retreated back into being reclusive before morphing into what I am now; just an introvert that enjoys calm company.

Personality is like moving sand along the years. Globally there will probably not be that much change, but many details of your personality will move again and again. I saw that on my old posts too: did I REALLY post "that" a few years ago ? :D
The real sign that someone has become a fanatic is that he completely loses his sense of humor about some important facet of his life. When humor goes, it means he's lost his perspective.

There have been times when I have come across very old posts I made here, sometimes as old as 7 or 8 years earlier, and I have been amazed at how similar my thinking was, even after so much time. However, I assume that if I had written as a teenager, then I might find some of them surprising. ;)

I have kept some texts I wrote in high school, especially those in which I had to share my thinking and opinions. I was thinking that it would be interesting to read them again. One day, I'll definitely read them again. :)

Oh, my personality usually changes whenever I choose a new avatar. (Sometimes) It's just that it's weird to see such cute anime like emoticons (^^,^_^,n_n for ex.) come out of Black Jack while typing, if you know what I mean here. (Sometimes I use them anyways.)

Personality changes usually depend on which gender you are, but let's not go there.

My personality changed before I was a teenager. I think I started to not talk and be all dark and serious back when I was about 12. (Pre-teen years. There's a difference.) And dat was in 7th grade. Probably back in 2010 or 2011. I went into "Black Jack" mode ever since.

At home, I'm more sociable and giddy and carefree and such; but I do sometimes tend not to talk and be dark. So pretty much, at home, I'm a Sharaku!

My personality doesn't change much. I think I will always be stuck in a loop. Eh, being quiet, so called scary, cold face, and serious personality suits me anyways. (I always have dark circles around my eyes, Black big bushy eyebrows (which everyone tends to make fun of. -_-), tan skin, long black hair, tomboy, ect. Hon, we could go on and on rambling about me forever.)

I like my personality. It isht cool! ;)

I went into coldface mode at school when I was about 14. No idea why, I probably wasn't influenced by Tezuka stuff because back then I only read Tetsuwan Atomu and Princess Knight, I didn't know about the others yet. I think it was most likely because I didn't bother to talk to girls and boys in class, since all they talk about is silly stuff.

Right now there's an exchange student from Canada in class; he says that our classmates are VERY childish and he doesn't blame me for not talking to them unless I'm supposed to. Ugh. And the gym teacher keeps pairing me up with the pretty popular girls in class, on PURPOSE, and they're driving me crazy.
