The film is based upon Amelia Reynolds Long's 1930 short story "The Thought Monster," originally published in Weird Tales magazine. A girl thought this up!!! A girl?

I'll love to see what the person who wrote that had to say about Manos.

"In contrast to Kubrick's cheap thrills with The Shining, Manos builds a world of dread that envelopes the viewer. With men who walk funny, wonky soundtracks, and horrendous acting. Manos is not a film for the faint of heart."

Well, the last line is true. but for the wrong reasons.

 I have a bunch of captured frames from CRAWLING EYE, but none that really work well in the caption games, because if you do not already know what it is, the stills are simply inadequate to tell what it is.

I saw this one years ago, & it just seemed too slow to hold my attention.

:D

TCM is showing THE COSMIC MONSTER @ 3:30 AM tonight/tomorrow morning. The description matches THE MAGNETIC MONSTER, though I suppose being called different titles is far from unusual.

Anyway, the scientist's experiments with powerful magnetic fields has devastating effects, causing, among other things, insects & spiders to grow very large.
